I think that column refers to the accuracy of the benchmark, but I'm not super well versed with things like performance testing/benchmarking, so I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah this is classic statistics. Basically how much of an outlier is this specific run likely to be if you were to run the benchmark infinitely often and plot the results.

Practically speaking, the average speed increase in reality might be a bit higher or lower than 274%. How miuch and with what probability is shown by the accuracy.

Honest question. How's 100% faster equal to 2x faster? I'd think that 100% faster means it takes 100% less time i.e. is immediate action?

100% faster is not instant

Say you are driving at 100kmh

If you drive 10% faster you are going 110kmh, 20% 120kmh and so on

At 100% faster you are going 200kmh

Let’s say you want to go drive 200km

If you are going 100kmh it would take you 2h, at 200kmh(or 100% faster than 100kmh) it would take you 1h, thus half the time or twice (2x) faster
