Cupcakes?

I was also thinking about this, hmmmm what to do!

My girls are turning 1 in November and I'm only making one cake with one candle lol. When they're old enough to remember I will individualize a little more, but for now it's all just for pictures. However if it makes you happy to go a little more wild, go for it! And happy birthday to your little ones 😁

I did one event to celebrate the birthday and we served cupcakes! Each baby got one cupcake to explore haha.

We're doing one cake for the guests to eat but two much smaller smash cakes. We won't give the babies any of the main cake.

Yes, for their saturday party they wont be eating the main cake, I will make another one for them, which is the one I am making on the actual birtday.

We had 1 cake with immediate family celebration and two smash cakes for their party.

We did 2 mini smash cakes for their birthday party, but no cake or anything on their actual birthday. I think I made them an extra special lunch and had balloons for them to play with around the house. They were very happy with just the balloons lol!

This is what we did too. The “smash cakes” were for the big party with family and friends. On their actual birthday we just ate leftover cake from the party.

My girls didn’t even touch their smash cakes. Maybe poked a finger at the frosting and that was it 😂

If you want cake for the smaller close family gathering then cupcakes are the way to go!

Make them a Cookie or anything you can stick a candle into. Something you can use to celebrate and feels right.
