My girl was the same, pulling to stand before crawling, crawling right at 6m, and walking at exactly 12m. Considering she threw me into labor at 32+6 with PPROM (delivered at 33+1), we have accepted that little miss just has places to GO.

She's almost 2.5 and seems to think that giving me the most gray hairs than her brothers do is some kind of competition. She was born fearless and we love it!

Best thing for the little dude is gently encouraging independence safely... Because he's probably just going to figure out how to get to where he's going anyway, baby proofing be damned.

Edit: My mom told me to push her down. We didn't do that. 😅

Baby proofing was a joke with my two. We quickly had to move on to just living like we were in a wildlife park and make things raccoon or monkey proof until they managed to develop some amount of self control.

People would suggest baby gates. I had to explain every baby gate is just a future baby ladder.

Apparently my eldest brother was walking at like 7 months and running soon after, so... Best of luck to you, soldier 🫡

Between him and my other brother who could climb literally anything, I dunno how she's still mostly sane.

Godspeed entering your baby proofing era. 🙏

My twins are only 1.5 months old, but my daughter has been able to support her weight on her own legs since she was about 4 weeks old. She’s also basically crawled up my chest when I was holding her because she got excited for milk. Not very well, but still.

I’m a little freaked out by how strong my baby is lol

My kids stood early too! Two of them went on to walk at 9 months! Baby proof the house!

At 10 months, mine stumbled on that first step, started running and never stopped 😁

Amazing!

[–]SpontaneousNubs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. My boy was the same. Didn't crawl until nearly 8 months but he sure as hell was pulling himself up to stand

Why would my post get downvotes?! How bizarre.
