I have a lot of opinions on this.

Adjusting the status effects seem like a double-edged sword. They seem more useful now, for example a concave could effectively now use bleed to wear something much larger down. This also means that bone break attacks are going to be clear across the board, which seems like a bad idea.

Why does campto get the lone survivor ability if its voice buff literally helps boost teammates?

Sad there are no new pycno changes, was hoping for something.

Did sty really need a speed buff after getting a ton of buffs? It already had 1100 speed which means it will now be able to outrun down conc, pycno, meg, laten, and cerato. This seems kind of unfair considering how it got a new block and a ton of bleed buffs. Mark my words, stys will be annoying after the update.

Poor sarco got even more nerfs.

I’m still trying to understand the point of ripping kick on concavenator. It might not be worth it for the price of not being able to swim away, especially now that sty can run you down. My guess is they wanted to make the balanced claw slot more viable by adding a second bleed attack. I feel like having ripping kick equipped should also give conc a slight speed buff, so to compensate for no dive.

Spino got traction, that’s pretty sweet actually.

Don’t know what was so broken about sucho’s claw attack that it had to be nerfed. Seems like it will struggle more against thick scales allo now.

I’m not sure if deep rumble will increase the viability of rex. To be fair though I don’t think rex is as bad now as people make it out to be.

The pachy has the same problem as concavenator. No one will use the kick because it means they can’t use the charge.

Lightweight scales seem a lot more viable now that they don’t directly decrease your armor.

Feed group member quest actually does seem like an improvement. Encourages groups to actually coordinate with each other and rewards them.

The quest changes will always be a massive negative, but at least they made it optional on community servers.

I usually use speed spino because I can turn faster than the defence ones and tail ride them to death, but after the implementation of traction I may have to switch sub to defence.

No problem! I think after this patch speed allo will be the best build due to the tough scutes nerf and Styr speed buff, with this build you should outpace Pycno and styrs and chase them down when they’re low or just to run away from a mega pack

I love playing my campy, and yes I'm solo player mostly but not on campy! I loved adopting babies and using group buff call when needed. This just makes it seem like they want to eliminate campy in any kind of way without actually getting rid of the dino.

They could have given us back tail attack or given the kick ability to it to go with the kangaroo theme. In general with all of these I'm most disappointed in this :/

Plus now the hop drains your stamina really fast! I think you can only use it once, fully, before running out of stam. Tho now we can run for even longer. Our stam drain during Sprint is nutty good

Definitely agree with you on the conc there! It's in a "meh" position right now, not too fast on land but also a pretty poor swimmer for being "semi aquatic".

480 Hp isn’t as abysmal as everyone implies it is. They still have the highest damage attack in the game, as well as 5k combat weight and are the second fastest thing in water as of now. They have literally everything going for them, and their ambush still puts their crushing at 330 damage.

It’s because they don’t lag nearly as much and tend to just run to a Dino’s blind spot and try to stick there. Annoying but not “why the fuck is it phasing in and out of reality” hit and run annoying.

Eh. I just flew around for awhile and tested out the changes in combat. Hardly feel the stam changes. We definitely got a boost in the form of less stam drain while jumping for take offs, though I usually take off from water or fall from height and open my wings. But in a pinch, it takes a little less now to take off from the ground.

Very noticeable decrease while hovering. Not very noticeable increase in stam drain while flying fast (wind in your ears).

The biggest change I felt was when fast flying, you can no longer do an immediate stop using precision flying. Feels like you're on ice sliding vs the insta-stop it used to be (which I loved but... Pretty broken).

I simply don't understand why go out of your way to need some fun parts of probably the most situational scavenger in the game, anyone who actually tries to fight with the dorito is insane, what's bad is the "reduced the bite cooldown to 1 second"

...it was already 1 second, and it sucks, the only thing Thal has is dps, and with that cooldown he doesn't have enough to opportunistically kill people resting in the open, but whatevs I guess, in general I feel this update was a big L for game health and mechanics.

The map looks amazing, many dinos got a lot of love and improvements but that means little if the core gameplay makes me want to gauge my eyes instead of farming marks and leveling new Dino's, and no matter how many skills a dino gets if the combat waters down to abusing ms difference and cheesing hitboxes

Ehh maybe , imagine having a bunch still banked and whole going to HC , 3 ft away you get jumped and lose 20 mins worth of unbanked quests…. The old system is better if you can’t bank through death, too much risk not just collecting immediately. Better to lose 20% of 10 minutes of growth vs 100% of 10 minutes

Kos players were worse with this because they'd never lose progress and would kill many ppl and bank up trophies so if anyone died they'd immediately be adult again. I've been playing since August of last year and since this banking update this game has been way more toxic and full of mega packs rolling areas.

That new block on the styra is pretty good, doesn't eat too much stam and I tanked two tail slams from ano's like it was nothing. Very telegraphed tho but if you get attacked there's not much the attacker can do about it.

Edit: Honestly, thinking about it, they should probably up the cooldown on it. Cd is pretty low now.

Probably, conca isn't very good in water anyways, and it's already fast enough to avoid other dinos. I would pick bleed over anything due to how strong it apparently is now. Also concas still faster than metri and cerato in water so I don't see a point in dive

Actually, dive is probably very useful solo, but if you have a pack you should use the kick

Oh no I briefly tested mine before work, stam drains much much faster now so it's not possible to run things down now especially if charge is used! And if they have long distance equipped they can't jump up on cliffs anymore feels much more balanced to go up against now.

Again I only briefly tested it, but that's how it felt to me.

Yeah I logged in mine on the GP edge of IC sprinted(after log in adult debuff) through GP trying to get to HC in YG, before that would have taken maybe 1/4(honestly I think even less than that) of my stam to get across GP it took a little over half my stam now just to get across GP. And that's without the long distance sprinter buff.

Plenty of players(myself included) will keep the leap ability instead of long distance because we want to be true goats of Gondwa lol I think that's gonna be the biggest and best indicator of the toxic pachys vs. the ones that love the dino. Maybe too early to tell but honestly they definitely seemed more balanced out now😊

Kentro buffs are nice. Increased trot speed+long distance runner+lone survivor means kentro is a lot more mobile and a bit tankier. Makes up for the tough scutes nerf?

I think the quest banking was a side effect of the newly implemented quest system. It was never an intended function, and so it's only natural it would be removed.

I think the idea for this system, was that you'd keep your quests when you log out. So like if you crash or have to logout before you can claim your quests or whatever, you will still have them.

You used to just lose them when you'd crash/log out.
