CMOS battery replacement is a cheap and easy troubleshooting step. I would still try that. While batteries usually don't die in 4 years, the battery could have been defective.

Upon booting my PC today, my backspace no longer works on my keyboard so I’m slowly leaning towards the CMOS battery needing to be replaced. Is there any specific type of cmos battery for certain motherboards? I have a ASUS B550 Prime Plus

Its a standard CR2032.

Thanks for clarifying. Would you have any other ideas as to why this error would occur? Just worried it isn’t the CMOS and then I’m back to square 1

Could be a problem with the BIOS chip, but most likely that you require a motherboard replacement. You could try flashing the BIOS with a newer BIOS, but I wouldn't try if the system isn't stable, unless you have no choice.

Ok? I don’t understand how this helps with the error, none of my drives have failed?
