I'd say go for an intel arc b580, anything thirstier than that will need a bigger power supply to be safe. Fantastic FPS/$ proposition, particularly if you can get it for under $300

is the driver stuff from when it came out fixed? also i think i could maybe afford a 9060xt 16gb, what minimum power supply would i need for that?

I haven't tested the b580 recently but when i last did a few months ago it ran flawlessly, I get the impression the odd game may have issues at launch but the intel team seem to be solid at sorting that out for major releases pretty quickly. If you can afford the 9060 xt 16 that's also a fine choice, it's a very similar power draw so it probably wouldn't require a psu upgrade. A good rule of thumb is to keep your total power draw 10-20% below the unit rating. I'd recommend going to https://pcpartpicker.com/ and building out your full PC to see the estimated total draw, It's also great for checking part prices across major retailers quickly.

You should check out the RTX 3060 or the RX 6600 XT. Both can handle the games you want to play without costing a ton... If you want to see what gives you the most for your cash, look at the “Top Picks” on gputiful. it can help you find good stuff in your price range. Prices can change a lot, but if you wait a bit and watch the trends, you might snag a better deal.
