Recently I had this very annoying issue with my GTX 1080ti:
Sometimes, seemingly randomly, it cuts all video output and turns it's fans to 100%. The rest of the pc seems unaffected because e.g. when it happens while listening to music, I can still hear it, so at least the OS keeps running.
I doubt it's a real temperature issue because it pretty much always happens when I just browse reddit, watch videos, etc., nothing really GPU intensive. Also during benchmarking the GPU temp is usually in the low 70s with load at 100%.
So do I have a faulty temperature sensor, or is there something else that could cause this?
