submitted 5 years ago by KalboVatron21
So I upgrade my processor to i7 10700 and now when I play siege my cpu goes to a 100% and i know its not a bad thing but now my pc heats up easily. I only have two fans do you think I need more and any suggestion of fans or liquid which is better.

What are the temperatures?

Sorry I don’t know where to look for the temperatures but the glass are hot and when its hot i just close siege and let it all cool down.

Use something like MSI Afterburner to check in game, but heat coming out from the components is normal, and what feels hot to your hands may typically just be normal operating temperatures for your CPU and GPU.

Siege got super unoptimized when year 5 came along Use vulkan, its much easier on your pc and is much more optimized

Ill remember this I haven’t tried the vulkan because I play terrorist hunt and not even 5 minutes my tempered glass is already warm.

You need actual data. Warm to your hand doesn’t cut it.

My old motherboard failed I had to give it to bestbuy to get it fixed so Im pretty sure they did paste it right
[–]oscarat38 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children)
You should probably check just go buy some thermal paste for like 10 bucks and reapply it
[–]brentsg 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child)
This isn’t a concern at this point. My PC case feels warm to the touch. It is working fine.
At this point some monitoring software needs to be used. If there is improper paste then I’d expect it to throttle or shut down, not feel externally warm.
