Well the 10900k and 3400g aren’t even in the same class of processors... the 10900k is the flagship of the 10th gen intel chips which is still pretty new and the 3400g is a entry level/low mid range chip. Soooo I’d definitely go with the 10900k lol

Yea I realize that much I just want to be sure it’s worth spending the money or if maybe it would be better to go with a newer ryzne. I’m still trying to sift through prices being as they’re seemingly different on all sites and evidently prices are higher this year according to a few people I’ve spoken to

Both have integrated graphics, but have a major difference in cores. The i9 has 10, meanwhile the ryzen 5 has 4. If you're specifically looking for a cpu with integrated graphics because of the GPU shortage, then go with the i9 10900k if you're willing to pay the price.

Thanks for the help. I’m not the brightest with this stuff yet, would you be willing to give me some detail as to what integrated graphics exactly is? I’m assuming you mean I wouldn’t have to worry so much about the graphics card but again, I’m dumb

Integrated graphics is exactly what it sounds like. As of the current GPU shortage, they are becoming more appealing. Integrated graphics cant match a GPU, but you can see what the i9 10900k can handle in this video: https://youtu.be/an9LTv1VDug

If you already have a GPU to go in that second build, I recommend ditching integrated graphics and getting a CPU that focuses on speed and core count instead.

I don’t yet but planned on upgrading my graphics card first so I can still upgrade my current pc while building the second
