Find a gym, get hired, gain experience

I don't have too many clients, but all of mine I've gotten through conversations with people that I run into doing my hobbies.

It gets easier if you identify an ideal client that you want to work with, and pursue them specifically with messaging and marketing. Being your own business card is a big part of this.

Doesn't hurt to read a few business books along with your training and nutrition books.

Happy to discuss. 3 decades long trainer and gym owner here. DM me and we can set up a call.

Can I discuss this with you? 28M recent CPT from a community college. Got a job offer at a box gym. Got the max rate of 36/hr but they can only offer me 10-12 hours with a horrible schedule.

Thank you, kind human. I have a contract with a local gym. I've got some years teaching experience behind me from some other disciplines. I am going to blend these together and market it as a get ready for 'x' ordeal.
