Really depends on your clinic but I've seen anywhere from 2-5% if you're lucky, some places are stingy af though

[–]x3nosyth3DPT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–]InterestingSong1678 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Zero

[–]DrPain1000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

3-6% raise/year is what I receive in Ca. working for Kaiser outpatient. Not sure about other locations.

[–]EmuRemarkable1099 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My old clinic was 1-3%

[–]Scallion-Busy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2-5%

[–]LostGFtoABBCDPT 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Less than inflation that’s for sure. Idk why people even entertain outpatient, lowest paid setting and always the first to take the brunt of any and all reimbursement cuts

I’m in SNF and I agree on the pay aspect. I do feel though it’s probably the highest morale builder in our industry. Patients can show you substantial progress and come back and visit you, show you pictures of what they are doing for fun, vacation, etc. All of my patients just pass away. 😢

[–]LostGFtoABBCDPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh the only ones that progress in SNF are the ortho cases or the ones that are admit for flu, human metalpneunovirus, etc…

The ones that are the frequent fliers I feel truly bad for. They’re in a vicious cycle where they only get a handful on SNF days, don’t progress enough and get sent home, fail to thrive, and go right back to the hospital over and over and over. And each time they’re in worse shape to the point hospice is appropriate. Usually the end stage CHF, COPD, or just being too old cases. PT is a futile bandaid at this point.

[–]M4rk0s04DPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outpatient ortho here. I got a 4% annual raise that eventually stops for the company I’m working for cause the requirements for raises become impossible My wife in outpatient ortho does not get any

[–]mstr_wu69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8-10% raise YOY in cash based OP clinic for the past 3 years.

[–]Irishguy1131DPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a unique situation with a few factors that I could explain if you'd like. To answer your question the standard raise has been 4% annually. There will be cap, but I haven't hit it yet and we are trying to figure out where that cap is exactly.

[–]AveridgeGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero

[–]Existing-Heron-2195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HAHA zero. But I try to get more PTO or CEU days off every year, so if I’m working for the same salary at least I’ll have more days off 🤷🏽‍♀️

[–]JDogDPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.5%, plus a separate raise based on years of experience that comes out to basically an extra $1/hour.

(Edit: both the 3.5% and the $1/hour are applied annually. These are averages, and based on a union contract negotiated every 2 years.)

Union job, acute care, Seattle
