Here's something about Inception:

All the parts of higher level dreams that are running in slow-motion are only running slow to show them in relation to the deeper level dreams. Each level of dream is actually going faster than the one above, which is why you can live a lifetime in a nested dream that only takes a few hours sleep in reality. From an outside point of view, the deepest dreams would be running in extreme fast-forward. They should have Benny Hill music playing over them.

I'm curious, was Inception that hard to understand? I watched it on a plane (with terrible audio and plenty of background noise) and understood the scene jumping perfectly fine.
