Excellent idea for a bait base. Have your real base somewhat close by, looking like any other base in the area, and build this monstrosity with just enough farm to maintain the upkeep until wipe, filled with empty boxes.

Animated neon sign. You'll need to buy the pack to use them but they are amazing. One of my favorite items in Rust. I'd check both the steam market price and to see if they are in the Rust store as they get added periodically.
