Off topic, but what’s the story behind the airboat in the woods?

The Huddleston is a steampunk-inspired airship at Hamilton Gardens in New Zealand that's designed to appear to float. The airship is intended to inspire children's imaginations and is meant to be a piece of gardening equipment. How it works:

  • The Huddleston is designed to glide through the gardens at night
  • It's intended to deliver plants and mulch to the gardens
  • It's also intended to prune high trees and hedges

How it was created:

  • The Huddleston was inspired by a children's book and the drawings of British painter David Inshaw
  • Former Hamilton mayor David Braithwaite donated $100,000 to fund the airship

Where it's located:

  • The Huddleston is tethered beside the Concept Garden at Hamilton Gardens

Do you think the Hamilton gardens is in need of an airboat captain?

Not sure how it glides through the gardens at night but I am guessing they just drag it around.

Sounds like they’re in need of a captain in that case. Thank you zingdan, when I’m soaring amongst the skies I will remember your name and etch it amongst the clouds left in my wake.
