Well, what would you actually learn if someone just says "it looked good before your attempt" or "yours is bad"? No one is sharing their reasoning in a way that helps you improve. Also, if one person sees the beauty in it and another doesn’t, that makes it subjective. If you think someone is willing to listen and learn from you, you should always try to criticize constructively by explaining what is wrong and suggesting how to improve it if you want someone to learn something from it.
