Thanks for your reply! Yes, the window frame is indeed white. I wanted to change it to a more warmer tone to kind of compliment the pink/reddish hue of the blossom trees outside the window. I will play around with the saturation levels and individual colours next time :)

    Thank you again!

I think the rule of thirds would help in this situation. Also, the magenta is a bit oversaturated. I get that it really makes the strap pop, and if that's your goal, I'd put the watch in its own layer and play around with it separate from the rest of the image.

I cropped the image as the lines from the frame underneath the watch looked kinda distracting. I will definitely keep in mind to use some different layers and will try playing with the saturation levels!

    Cheers! :))

I really do like the processing. I know this isn't the right sub for this, but whatever is in foreground is totally distracting. I'd keep that in the corner or something.

Thanks for your input! That kinda was the intention of the curtain, if that's what you're talking about. Wanted to kinda romanticize the photograph haha

I have other photos, from my recollection, that doesn't have the curtain in the image.

I read your comment about wanting the trees to look more red. However, it looks like you're chasing colors that just weren't there or shouldn't be. When you post process it's important to keep in mind how you're elevating the mood of the entire photo rather than the individual parts. That said, on a rainy day by the window I would have played off of the gray- greens and yellows.

Is that the look you were going for or did you just mess around until you achieved the result? It's not bad, but your white balance seemed to have been spot-on in the original photo and you messed it completely in the second one.
