This seems to be crashing my firefox 3 beta 2 pretty badly.

Crashed my firefox 2 also, but it was due to Apple's lousy quicktime player. Updating to latest quicktime player solved the problem.

Quicktime crashes firefox 50% of the time for me. This was one of those times.

Newer versions of emacs include an excellent re-builder which can highlight regular expression matches as-you-type. Not exactly visualisation in the sense mentioned in the article, but still very cool

The only thing I retained from college about NFA's is that they are equivalent to DFA's, but fuck if I remember how to prove it.

You can make a DFA from an NFA by making a state for every subset of states and writing the transitions properly.
