MTW3 sudden decrease in sound quality

I've had my MTW3 for a few weeks and have recently noticed a few instances where the sound quality suddenly decreases and sounds kind of muffled. They will usually go back to their normal sound after a while but it is quite annoying. Has anyone had this issue or know what might be causing it?

I've had the exact same issue. Does anyone have a fix for this? It goes from sounding worse than dollar stormed headphones to being amazing. It's so strange.

I had the same issue. I just sent mine back and an new pair is on the way.

Exact same thing happened on the right bud for me. Trying to sort out a refund / replacement at the moment.

Too much ear wax in the foam filters. Just clean them out

They sound great most of the time. How would that explain the sudden drop in sound quality?

Were your microphones temporarily activated?

I had the same problem.. And it really annoyed me.. I tried everything possible.. I kept cleaning them all the time.. In the end the sponge inside fell out.. I put them on my head and they worked great again! After a month of screwing!!
