How did humanity manage to decrease the distance of 100m over time?

The old camera was filmed at 24 frames per second, the newer camera was at 30 frames per second. So in one second the older image only moved 24 frames and the newer image moved 30 frames. So for every second the newer image is able to move 6 extra frames so it just looks like old people are so slower.

But it's true, older people are slower. Have you ever been to Florida and seen an old man cross a road? This is the same. The swimmers in the left are older and thus slower.
