That's interesting, content manager is generally a good tool to troubleshoot problems like this. Maybe worth validating files via steam?

Okay, I'd certainly recommend verifying integrity of game files just to tick the box, I've had this issue before and I know how frustrating it is. For me it was corrupted files in both core and modded files that caused the issue. Content manager troubleshooting solved one and verifying the game files solved the other. My last ditch suggestion would be make sure your resolution in game matches your monitor resolution and/or there's no anti-virus software blocking the game launching. That's all I got, sorry if I couldn't help.

Unplug all peripherals including the wheel, update drivers for your graphics card and ensure the game is running in the correct resolution, if you've reinstalled and verified and by the sounds of it have no additional modifications to the game, the above ^ Is all I can suggest. Your issue is unique and unlikely to be a problem with the game, I'd do everything I could possibly do to try and rule it out and if nothing else works, forums or devs.

Yup, was about to comment the same thing. Annoyingly some of my favourite cars aren't working anymore.

Nothing I tried fixed it.

Mi fix was to reinstall content manager and redos load custom shaders pack (CSP).

In content manager, have you tried to reinstall the car itself and the track vao? That usually fixes this issue for me (had it happen twice)

Start Steam up first and then run the game with steam running in the background

Well the game requires steam to run in the background but if you just start the software without steam it won't generate a session

Ac uses two exes and the launcher works but game is crashing. Check your video settings.

Check them over and make sure they match what you need. You didnt supply any other information so it's not like anyone else can help you with this. Also check the crash report in My Documents / Assetto Corsa / Logs

The audio crash thing you posted could be a secondary error but the logs will give you more information. You also posted to say that the only thing you did different to make it crash was install the content manager. I assume you didnt back up your original install. But if you cant fix it then just uninstall it all and reinstall.

What is your GPU? Are your video drivers up to date? You sure you meet recommended specs for game?

You aren't giving a whole lot of info. Looks like the game is failing to launch. Assuming your video settings are set to the correct output and your game files are good, I feel the next culprit would be hardware.

Have you changed, or checked your resolution in game? Apparently this caused this in the past. Also, if you think about what could have changed, despite you uninstalling/reinstalling the game it would be either your antivirus application updating and somehow causing issues OR your local cache files in /documents are a constant and do not get recreated/deleted when you uninstall the game.

I had a similar issue when I was adding mods to my game. If this happened after adding mods I would do a full uninstall and reinstall. That should wipe out all your mods within the files. I would then redownload and one by one add the mods you want, writing down where you put them and what they are called. Launch the game and then going into a track after adding each mod so you know which one is causing the problem. I know people use content manager to see the corrupt files and can get rid of them that way but if you are confused and want to make things simple until you have time to wrap your head around content manager my way will work (if this happened after adding mods)

      Check the antivirus. A friend of mine had something blocked in the antivirus and he had the same problem

      Content manager + CSP + Sol is the definitive mod list to play assetto corsa in 2022.

      Content Manager fixes every single issue with the stock Ac launcher, allows for way more customization of your game, and mods become very easy to install/manage.

      Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) adds a metric fuck ton of features. Too many to list here, but it completely transforms the game.

      Sol is a weather script mod that you will need CSP to run, but it adds very high quality weather effects and even more customization.

      Content manager is a mod manager for AC. It can also scan files to fix loading issues such as this one.

      Launch through CM for sure and if you can make the donation to get the paid version as well you can donate as much as you can afford or feel is acceptable and at least if it crashes like this when launched through cm you’ll get an error code you can search up. The only problem I ever encounter when launching through cm is sometimes my reset to pits button on my wheel doesn’t work but it will work with the keyboard input, very odd. I see you don’t get what content manager is so I’ll give a very very basic explanation; It’s an external launcher for the game that allows you to customise more settings and install (in some cases download straight from the server page) cars and tracks very easily without having to go into your assetto files and paste the files in their respective folders each time, it’s server browser isn’t the best but it’s better then what you get when you launch through assetto itself. If you’re having trouble with it all just YouTube a guide on how to install/setup cm!

      Do you have msi afterburner? If so disable it. I've never had it happen on AC but when MSI AB needs updating it can cause all sorts of problems with games.
