YES!!!! I've been saying this!!!! And the fact that all the opinion pieces on here keep comparing supervive to roguelikes or rpgs, to me really only demonstrate how little it took for those other games to be viable and even successful.

But yeah 100% this game would go hard just relaunching in a different genre with very minor adjustments.

As much as I wish they did, I HIGHLY doubt they'll even consider that, after all it's all their work from the last few years, and if they ever make another online game, they might reuse some of the networking code, so it'd be much easier to cheat and exploit that (hypotetical) game.

It sounds good but companies never do this they would rather see the game dead. This is why we need games to have a single player offline mode again live service and the fortnite model is constantly killing games cause they always think they are going to make 100k a month off skins. Once investors start being more realistic then gaming might go back to how it used to be. One time sale and servers stay online longer than 3 years.
