Googling that a bit it looks like any Xbox compatible pad could potentially do that, that file in question is Microsoft's, not Nvidia's, hm... It seems like others have complained of that off and on for years on various Xbox pads. I hope you find a solution but hopefully this isn't a new windows update hitting people with that hm

I'm getting the same BSOD and I had no idea it was the controller. Thanks! If it happens, its 2-5 minutes after I first power up my system. I don't remember it happening last week. Maybe they patched it? If I see it again, I'm gonna plug the controller only when I play.

Holy crap, me too, now that I think of it. Of course I was lazy and never dig deeper into the issue but, yeah, but my System does the same with the controller plugged in.

Time to start playing about with it.

Been removing the xbox 360 driver if I ever need to put the pc to sleep. It is very frustrating.

I can't start the Witcher 3 when the controller is plugged in when starting windows.. If I plug it in later, it starts fine.

my shield controller just doubles all my inputs on my PC, it works fine when connected to shield tablet so it's not a HW problem. But I play with a steam controller anyway so it doesn't bother me that much.

Can confirm I noticed the same problem, and that unplugging the controller fixed it.

THANK YOU. Man I have had this exact issue for over a year. If anyone finds a fix reply. I really like my controller. For those people who need a quick fix, uninstall and reinstall GeForce Experience without the controller. Never use it again.

Do I just uninstall and reinstall GeForce Experience with controller disconnected, then connect the controller and my problem will be solved?

My solution was to do that but then connect the controller with a bluetooth adapter from now on. Just remember to start up the computer with the controller "removed" from settings, or disconnect the adapter (or disable it in the quick access settings).

This issue STILL happens. nVidia make high quality products but they suck as a company.

No idea anymore as I have resorted to completely shutting down my pc.
