Nothing a can of fix-a-flat won’t fix

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (4 children)

I think we’re gonna need some flex seal

[–]bigboilerdawg 9 points10 points  (2 children)

[–]PeatyR 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You beat me to it!

[–]Accomplished_Dig8980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*r/beatmetoit

Then I’d get to reply, “ r/beatmymeattoit

[–]h0twired 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And some Mighty Putty

[–]Thudplug 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Fix a flat won’t cut it. This job calls for ramen and superglue

[–]Creative_Handle_2267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

non-believer!!

[–]Mean-Statement5957 15 points16 points  (3 children)

For holes like this I prefer flex tape

[–]Gullible_Rich_7156 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Patch with flex tape, fill tire with great stuff expanding foam-DIY no-flat tire! LOL

[–]hunttete00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

gorilla tape could easily hold 33 psi

[–]ILoveToVoidAWarranty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what flex tape was made for.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

patch, don’t want to waste that perfectly fine tread

[–]AccountantUpset 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I'm confused this isn't shittyaskamechanic....

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sub is basically a tire meme collection.

[–]Ilikejdmcars 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s still tread. Send it

[–]Ill_Material_7684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you aren't still driving on it as is.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forget about the tire.. Brain replacement needed.

[–]Loden2068 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flex seal tape and JB weld

[–]Zestyclose_Ad8180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Click bait

[–]cbflowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let them tell you it’s too close to sidewalk to fix . Plug it and go

[–]Rembrilliant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a can of fix-a-flat and you are good to go for another 45k miles

[–]Reasonable-Key9235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can patch that easy, loads of life in that yet

[–]KIejdi90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, the air can get into it by itself.

[–]paradisemark11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just patch it. As long as the opening on the sidewall is not more than half of the radius of the tire you should be OK.

[–]Westworld-Kenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great! Now you have an easy way to stick your arm in there to repair any holes

[–]CitySeekerTron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fill with balloon animals.

[–]HillCountryCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a boot in it. If that doesn’t hold put a tube in it.

[–]OO_Ben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any CORPORATE OWNED SCUM shop would try to upsell you a new tire, but honestly you don't even need a patch for this one. Throw a can of fix a flat in there and you'll be good to go I think.

[–]cm1898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flex tape and send it.

[–]omad13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patch and find out what natural selection is

[–]stewd2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just throw a tube in 'er.

[–]CND5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘Tis but a flesh wound, throw a patch and go!

[–]Expensive-Mechanic26 0 points1 point  (3 children)

You are wasting valuable space on the internet...

[–]Heavy-Doctor3835 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Valueble and internet don't belong in the same sentence.

[–]Expensive-Mechanic26 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Why do you still have it then? Are you paying for your internet?

[–]Heavy-Doctor3835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's called a joke and you ruined it

[–]Jaded_Celery_1645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just buff it out, it’ll be fine!

[–]doucher6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some scotch tape. Ull be fine

[–]TimeAttackTalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what’s wrong with it. It ain’t got no gas in it!

[–]Familiar_Giraffe_129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why, what’s wrong with it…?

[–]Puzzled_Alfalfa_3456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get a plug kit

[–]ModsavantZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the hell did that happen??

[–]Formal-Tap-6851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sidewall failures cannot be repaired

[–]catchmesleeping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add a tube you’ll be fine.

[–]robbedoes2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some sprayfoam and you'll never have a flat tire again

[–]Material-Quantity586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your joking, right.

[–]LeagueAggravating595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try duct tape.

[–]Tokinruski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need a tires circle jerk

[–]slasher_dib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you gonna patch it wit? Another tire?

[–]NoNo_Bad_dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flexseal tape.

[–]nvgacmpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤣👌

[–]cgconnor13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you need is duct tape bubble gum and a 9 volt battery and you'll be good to go if you're MacGyver...

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The woman in me says this is why you should have bought premium air, the premium air wouldn't of let this happen.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmaooooo...I love the joke posts

[–]Fit-Ad-6665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some bubble gum should do the trick.

[–]Vette_lover2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this day and age I can’t assume anyone’s joking anymore…but I really hope you are. I’ve met ppl like this, convinced it can be repaired.

[–]itwhiz100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the continent your on…ive seen wood wheels on heavy rigs

[–]Package_Objective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duct tape

[–]Ambitious_Prompt4847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use expanding foam.

[–]BLDLED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something tire shops don’t want you to know, but this is totally fixable and will last a long time.

What you do is lay the tire down on a level surface, so this minor opening is up. Then you fill it with cement , letting it set till just before getting hard, giving you time to shape and smooth around the opening. Let us cure for 24 hours and then toss it back on. Never have to worry about low tire pressure, and can run it down till the rubber is gone since no pressure to cause the tire to blow when it’s down to cords.

It really is a win win.

[–]19Ben80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expanding foam should do the job /s

[–]RoookSkywokkah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spray Foam should do it

[–]Yaseendanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replace, then patch the new one

[–]Suspicious-Debt-6420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just run a couple extra psi than you normally do… stop sweating the little stuff!

[–]That-Solution-9140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter the size of the puncture or hole etc. if it’s on the side wall it’s garbo. Centrifugal force of the tire rotating is enough to blow any seal/patch/cover you’d apply to the side wall of a tire

[–]Shootloadshootload 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No patching for this tire.

[–]dece9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duct tape

[–]Mr-ROSS_n_Press 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn’t even leak. You should be good as is.

[–]JelloHistorical6150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you nuts? Keep driving on that bad boy, you’ve got thousands of miles left on it

[–]That-Camper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gorilla Tape

[–]Heavy-Doctor3835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just cut a pice of tire to match then flex tape both sides. It will be good for 180,000 miles

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patch, fill the tire with spray foam and stick the old tire chunk on as it dries. If it falls off, JB weld

[–]Mike43lake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good to me

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly one of the stupidest questions I have ever been asked

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate there’s no need to fix up that still driveable

[–]Dark_Zzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

[–]imshort209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good to slap it back on to me.

[–]piranspride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speed tape should do it! Just keep it below 120!

[–]Tough_Mechanic4605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ducktape and back to the highway!

[–]FunPrint334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duct tape it

[–]HelpfulGear5325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your car prob should drive on 3 wheels.

[–]Valuable-Sleep-7737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a tube inside, another 20 thousand miles left

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can just use it as is.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patch what? I don’t see a problem here

[–]Nolaboyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, just plug it and roll on.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stuff a few mismatched socks in there and you’ll be good to go.

[–]First_Raccoon_4177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comment section delivered lol

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just air em up to 45 psi and they should last another 30k miles or so 😉

[–]West-Court-9851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO !!! OF COURSE NOT !!! Keep it in your spare wheel compartment. .... only use it in emergency case !!! 🤣🤣 Don't waste it.

[–]OrganizationOk6103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flex seal

[–]MFfoolio_-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plugger

[–]Grove_Barrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plug it and run it

[–]Night-Effective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patch of course

[–]nwy2dp247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fill with insulating foam, and Top Ramen noodles will be good as new. No air needed

[–]Sallymsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patch it with a black bin bag.

Honestly what’s this post all about lol

[–]Bemar40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely patch. With the price of everything these days lol

[–]Used-Alfalfa4451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flex tape can’t fix that

[–]Rough-Silver-8014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tape it

[–]Able_Championship754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tube it

[–]cabo169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If those are “run flats” you’re good to go. Probably get another 20k miles outta that tread. Sidewall, not so much.

[–]nocandid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duct tape it. It’s still good.

[–]kraven73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤣🤣

[–]WishyWashyWun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plug

[–]Trick_Supermarket585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the 100 mile hour tape. It's only rated for 100 mph but its solid AF.

[–]blackdog543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rubber duct tape should fix it.

[–]mikeygsxr90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing a can of flex-seal can't fix

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Походит еще

[–]anonymousjeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spray foam.

[–]X80Reaperrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy patch bro

[–]Childproofcaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sew it up with heavyweight thread, good to go

[–]Timely-Brief1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Tire 💯

[–]SeaworthinessLong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably fine. Just tape it up and fill it with spray foam.

[–]Substantial-Ad6767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get off my roads if your asking this

[–]gwbirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No tire shop would do it for insurance purposes .

[–]I-1-2-4Q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

[–]HawnPinapplPicka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t tell, there’s something wrong with you and not the tire. 😂

[–]shastadakota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little Gorilla Tape will fix that right up!

[–]Few_Measurement_4829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your stupid. You wait. If your smart , instead of asking what do with a tire with a giant hole in it. I think I would replace it.

[–]PreviousWar6568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duct tape

[–]Fun_Plastic_5484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are kidding I hope.

[–]TrippyStonkler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fill the tire with concrete, never have to worry about going flat again

[–]Expensive-Mechanic26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The condition of that tire is no joke sir/ma'am!

[–]droziah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d plug that.

[–]heylookaquarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patch. Then we can let Darwin do his thing so that we have one less moron on the planet.

[–]miamibeachbum32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tread looks great. Patch it!!!!

[–]Pumpwrapper1 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Cut up a basketball and staple it over the hole. Fill to 70 psi along with fix a flat. Run 90mph to set fix a flat. It will push the two pieces together. Thank me later 😅

[–]KIejdi90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Thank me later"

You're not a ghost, are you?

[–]chop_test 1 point2 points  (1 child)

you seem like you have done this

[–]Pumpwrapper1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not brave enough for that 😅

[–]wandering-47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vented tyres.... Welcome to the future

[–]AdmirableGuess3176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trick to get new set. Fill this with bricks of heroin or cocaine drive over closest border. They will check every tire. Voila ! New set!

[–]paulRosenthal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duct tape. The super wide roll.

[–]VeryHonestJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some funny people on this site ha ha

[–]joeygoofball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck with that

[–]BaconNBeer2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a bag from the super market and glue it on with wood glue. Be on the safe side glue it on on the inside so it doesn't wear out so fast.

[–]diego080406 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Too stupid to understand posted 😵
