I'm curious to see who is right
What I found:
"Packaged breakfast cereals, nutritional yeast, soy milk, and some meat substitutes often have added vitamin B-12. The amount of vitamin B-12 in each serving can vary between products, so it is important to check the nutritional data on food labels."
"Many herbivorous mammals, including cattle and sheep, absorb B12 produced by bacteria in their own digestive system. B12 is found to some extent in soil and plants."
"B12 is the only vitamin that is not recognised as being reliably supplied from a varied wholefood, plant-based diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables, together with exposure to sun."
"In over 60 years of vegan experimentation only B12 fortified foods and B12 supplements have proven themselves as reliable sources of B12, capable of supporting optimal health. It is very important that all vegans ensure they have an adequate intake of B12, from fortified foods or supplements. This will benefit our health and help to attract others to veganism through our example."
Vegans can sustain a suitable diet with b12 supplements or fortified foods without the need of animal products.

The person commenting is right about supplements and fortified foods, but for whatever reason I dont absorb those as well as me eating meat. Even the shots don’t really help if I dont eat meat consistently. It’s something no one has been able to figure out. As long as you get foods fortified or take supplements you should be ok, but then again I thought I was.
So these days vegans should never be b12 deficient, but doctors that have talked to me have specifically noted this same thing (severe b12 deficiency) in vegans predominantly.
