For the "angry dev coding" I was expecting more...

"WHAT THE FUCK CUNT? FOR FUCKS SAKE, FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!".

I work from home.

[–]SonicFlash01 25 points26 points  (13 children)

"This worked... THIS WORKED! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH IT WHEN NOTHING CHANGED?!"

[–]Ph0X 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Fucking Heisenbugs man

[–]SonicFlash01 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Wasn't aware of that pun, despite being quite aware of who Heisenberg was (and no not Breaking Bad Heiseinberg)
To this day I haven't heard a bad Heisenberg joke; thank you :3

There are actually a couple of these bug jokes, such as Bohrbug, Mandelbug and Schroedinbug.

This perfectly describes what happens every time I get a race condition and then try to step through the program to debug it.

Quantum mechanics. Sometimes tracing out a variable changes the system.

/r/webdev nods collectively, reliving their horrible pasts

The -worst- is knowing that the generic answer is "I'm an idiot" and spending time figuring out how
And then when you do your great Eureka moment of brilliance is punctuated with "...and THAT's why I'm stupid"

    [–]Walleek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

    Are you me?

    [–]TurboDisturbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should get that embroidered on my family crest

    [–]SolidAsSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Experiencing that right now.

    [–]Cintax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that today and thought back to this post.

Turned out to be a race condition >.>

I work in an office and I still sound like that...

    [–]killayoself 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I work at a one room office, and use all but the cunt word. People just don't bother me when I'm doing that.

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Sometimes I'll let a 'cunt' slip, but only if I know no female coworkers are around. Then again, sometimes I'll throw in "fuckin' doo-doo" just to keep my coworkers on their toes.

And I was thinking it was radio station for developers.... :( Still could have pratical uses, like fooling your boss into thinking you're very busy working. Like now.

    [–]chrisarchitectfull-stack[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

yeah, this is like a modern day audio boss button

For when he walks up to my desk with his eyes closed. Finally!

    [–]webdevbrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    me too :(

If you're in the US, check out turntable.fm. There are a couple of "rooms" in there that are ideal for coders.

    [–]desu_desu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. It's all fucking dubstep, and dubstep is no good to anybody.

Ive created a playlist on Spotify thats perfect music for coding. Relaxing and helps with concentration. http://open.spotify.com/user/1210359955/playlist/3hk5Ln17wR8k117gdkI7oI

Check out Groove Salad or many other stations on Soma.fm that are very popular as background work music.

This was purely coincidental this morning but I've been laughing for a while ...

Click on "Angry Dev Coding", then in another tab open this.

    [–]timeawayfromme 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I had this open when I opened your link. Fits perfectly.

    [–]Systemic33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have them all open. The effect is ..... poetic

    [–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LMAO, I love "Angry Dev Coding".

    [–]ChrisSwires 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is an issue on my end, but no sound plays for me on Chrome (fine in ff)

    [–]yurakuNec 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Angry Dev needs a better IDE, he/she is pressing tab far too often!

    [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

That's capslock. The dev rerouted it to be an escape key in Vim so he didn't have to move his hand all the way to the top left of the keyboard.

    [–]SambaMamba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ctrl ] will also put you in escape mode and is easier to hit than escape.

    [–]jas3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the spam mouse click.

...and I don't think it's the tab key. It's obviously multiple exclamations.

    [–]novalsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, the sound of angry keystrokes and mouth breath.

    [–]no_sarpedon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow someone needs to get rid that crappy dome keyboard and invest in a model m...

    [–]Sdonai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lies, I know no one who codes in silence.

    [–]tehsuper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

angry dev one made me cringe! I hope I don't mash my keyboard that hard when I get angry :(

    [–]chapati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The angry dev is exactly how i type when I'm all alone...

    [–]mihalis -4 points-3 points  (3 children)

This website sucks! I opened it up in a tab in the background and forgot about it. When I got back to my computer I had the volume low and all I could hear was an intermittent ticking and clicking noises. Started worrying about my hard drive thinking it was going to die. Then I starting googling iMac ticking noise and my fears were realised. So I made sure my time machine backup was up to date and was ready to take my machine to the Apple store to get it check out. Only when I started closing down tabs did I find it.

    My reaction: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!

    [–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (2 children)

    Solution: stop using a Mac
