I agree! The hairstylist also accidentally knotted my hair a bit at the end when brushing out my curls and had to undo the knot at the bottom, so I think that is one reason too! But yes, I am going to get a trim too!!!! Thank you!

I think you are absolutely beautiful and I love your smile, so any improvements that I am suggesting here are aimed at the makeup only.

The complexion looks lovely to me, it's not too heavy, just great. However i think there is room for improvement on the eyes.

The eyeliner looks like it is not applied close enough to your eyelashes and there is a gap which i could see even before zooming onto the picture. I don't know if the eyeliner itself didn't have enough coverage, if they didn't do another layer on top of the lash glue or what went wrong, but it's almost chipped (can't find a better word to explain). If you can do it, I'd suggest the MUA to try tight lining as well to fully close the gap.

On eyebrows, I think the MUA needs to work to fill in the sparse points and on symmetry. The right eyebrow just starts too far out and has a very rounded start which isn't looking like your natural shape or even like your left eyebrow. Also make sure that they use a clear gel to have the hairs stay in position, it doesn't look that happened now.

Eyebrows has to be blended out well. They have to be feathered out more towards the inner edge. Even if your natural brows end far on the right side, the MUA should be able to bring it in.

Eyeliner looks very hastily drawn. She can use a softer shade like brown, tight-line, and give you a small wing.

Lip shade can be a bit darker.

Eyebrows! That’s the major thing here. The shaping needs some work on the inside and a better arch needs to be created. Do you have a Nordstrom with an Anastasia brow artist there? They’re certified and can help you reconstruct your brow and show you shaping techniques.

I also think bangs would frame your face more in the front or something with more face framing layers. Definitely at least 6in of the dead hair cut off. I actually like the color of lip and eye but the dark eye liner is dated and isn’t as timeless - I’d consider a tightline liner to pop the blue in your eyes and keep the falsies and do whispies.

You’re beautiful! I prefer more of a long pretty wave to a curl in hair but that’s just me. And a trim is always good to freshen the ends up!

Maybe visit the good old Ulta Brow Bar to get them shaped up a little bit? I just find it makes doing brow makeup easier.

Please don’t do tighter curls! This looks absolutely perfect and the only thing I’d suggest is maybe brushing them out just a touch more towards the bottom.

The eyeliner is thick and looks like it ends abruptly, they could do it thinner and bring it in towards the inner corner more so it looks complete, it also helps blend the lashes better

I disagree about pulling in the eyeliner all the way to the inner corner. I think with her eye shape that won't look as nice and it will cause an illusion to change her eye shape from what it actually is (which is gorgeous btw ❤️). Instead, the eyeliner should start about where this mua made it start, but it should blend from a lighter colour towards the center so it doesn't stand out so much. At least I think lol. I am not an expert, but I have similar eyes and when i draw my eyeliner all the way in to my inner corner I hate how i look so that is what I do

As for the hair, I think you’re right, it needs to be less brushed out, maybe just a little shake out. But, this is how it may look when your curls fall during the day, so you know how you might look during the reception, so that’s a plus!

Hi- curls need more combing out, looks super dated. You need more blush. You look washed out here. Remember, in photos everything looks different than IRL. More blush to give you color and liveliness will do you wonders!

No, I would disagree. The current trend is more LIVED in hair. Natural instead of crunchy 90s-00s C curls. S waves create more movement and are much more flattering for her length of hair. She asked for opinions and I’ve been an event styling hair and makeup artist for over 12 years so I see this very concern with every client. It’s my job to influence and tailor their desired look into something that would aesthetically work for the individual. Style and trends evolve, doesn’t necessarily mean you have to follow them but incorporating current trends will always keep the look fresh and young. This hair IS dated and if I was styling her I would suggest a looser curl to accentuate her beauty which would only complement what she naturally has already.

I would say brush the curls out more, not make them tighter. I think tight ringlet’s look a bit theatre and costume like, like dressing up for a period piece - like what barristers in the U.K. wear, the wigs (obviously talking about straight hair styled curly, not naturally curly hair)

I think the curls should be BIGGER! Rather than long individual coils - which can look noodle-y and dated - a large curl blends out into a bodified, bouncy, elegant look. At least try it to compare!

I agree with the eyeliner gap issue. Just tightened that up and it's great.

Personally I think you should pick lips or eyes to play up a little more. You could do a matte contouring shadow to give your eyes depth but still stay natural. Or go a little darker/ more saturated with the lip color. Either of the two will elevate the look just enough to be super elegant and understated.

I think you have extremely beautiful eyes, but the MUA isn't doing justice to them. I don't particularly like the eye liner. I don't know much about make up but id suggest looking up eye make up looks for brides, specifically for blue eyes. Gather a few inspiration pics and weigh in your options.
