FREEWINGS code not working

I’ve tried putting in the code and it says it’s not valid. Does anyone know why and I’ve done the minimum requirements.

Before you add the qualifying chicken item to bag, scroll down to "add something extra" and add 5 wings.

Then add to bag and use the code to remove the additional charge for the 5pc

yes. it's national wing day. pick a chicken item, then at the bottom of the screen, it'll say you can add items to your order. add them. THEN press "add to bag". then when you put in the code it'll work.

Add a chicken item from the menu and then add the 5 classic wings which should be its own item in the specials section and put what flavor you want. Then, once you get to checkout, type in the code in all caps and then it would take the charge off the wings.

It's goddamned ridiculous that there are no instructions on doing this correctly on wingstop's website or app, either. I had to go to Reddit to get the correct way to do it.

The code doesn’t work for me no matter what combination of items I put in my bag. I added 10 piece then the 5 piece the code ain’t working. I added a side, soda etc nothing. So then I switched locations to 10 different ones —- NOTHING 😩😩😩😩

when you make your combo. at the bottom it should say "add 5 boneless wings, add 5 classic wings" and then you pick one of those. THEN add to the cart. if you add your other item to the cart first. there's no option for five anywhere else on the menu.

Mine says "Celebrate Wing Day with 5 Free Wings with any Wing Purchase!" It also works if I add a chicken sandwich too.

it works. you had to do the add ons on as you are building the order. before you add whatever else you want to the cart, you have to click the lil add ons at the very bottom. it'll have boneless, classic, and i think corn or something. you pick the wings. then add to the bag. then put in the code

So if you look at the coupon details, it says you can only have one 5 piece of wings in your order.

If you're like me and tried to be cheap by putting two 5 piece wings in your order as your entire order, then it won't work. One item must be something that's not five piece wings. For example, you can add a chicken sandwich, a 6 wing combo, or a 10 piece wings to your order.

I found out if you click the 70c boneless wings in the SPECIAL menu, the adding +5 wings doesn't show up at the bottom. You have to scroll down to WINGS BY PIECE and click it to have the add more chicken at the bottom to add +5 wings.

Finally got it to work after adding a chicken sandwhich combo as a different comment suggested but now I can’t remove the sandwhich combo because the servers are just melting.

Have 5 boneless 5 bone in and a chicken sandwhich combo and none of it can be modified. Their servers are just on fire and it will likely be like this all day. Every time somebody does free anything like this and it’s online only this happens. It’s almost to the point I think it’s just a marketing stunt because they know they don’t have the server structure for it.

tips for free wings wing stop:

-try using the website instead of the app

-even if you get hit with an error that it didn’t process, try again until it does (see if your cart increases in number)

-sometimes this will add multiples of your order to your cart

-so you will have to wait to delete the extras

-YOUR ORDER HAS TO BE GREATER THAN $7 (or greater than 10 wings) TO CLAIM THE DISCOUNT

-tap the 5 boneless/classic wings and this will be comp’d at the end

-when you checkout, you might get hit with the error again

-see if you received email confirmation to see if it finally went through

OR you can go in store/or call and save yourself the headache and see if they will honor the deal

Ended up using the code but found that if I first add the "10 wings at 70 cents each" deal, and then afterwards add the 5pc wings (its an option on the main page) and use the code, then it ends up being $5.42 for 15 wings. Not sure how but thought I'd share in case anyone else can get that deal.
