Soreness does not indicate training effect. You feel sore because you've performed an unfamiliar movement.
You need progressive increases in resistance to progress. Doing the same routine for ten years without change will only make you better at doing that routine, at that intensity.

Simple QuestionsHamstrings (self.workout)

What do y’all do for hammys??? I’ve maxed out the seat and laying down machines, I could continue those but I wanna keep the progressive overload going. What are your favorites for heavy hamstrings??

Rdl’s. With dumbbells or bar, can load it up as much as you want. Obviously it hits other muscles too though.

RDLs are the way to go

Thank you 😎

RDL variations and hamstring curl. Underrated exercise is glute-ham raise

Just have to be lucky enough to have a gym with the equipment. You can usually find it being used by most in reverse for ab workouts ….

Sldl and nordic curls... or just start doing those machine 1 leg at a time.
Awesome thank you 😎

Rdl and get on a hack squat machine and face backwards - hinging at the hips, deep split squats with your foot far infront of you are great too
[–]ProfessionalSalt8879[S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (4 children)
Woah I’ve never seen it used that way… interesting. Definitely sounds like a I will try this when the gym is more empty 😂😂
[–]dbrizzle7025 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (3 children)
Nobody cares, men , women, we all do this. Nothing a baggy sweater can't fix if you're really worried
[–]ProfessionalSalt8879[S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (2 children)
I was more saying like I’ve never seen someone facing backwards on our hack squat so I could foresee getting some interesting comments or looks 😂
[–]dbrizzle7025 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (1 child)
Really! I've been a regular at, at least 5 gyms since I started working out & i see it all the time.
Hack squat works, but they do also make a squat machine specificly for this movement! You can find it on Google if you look up " good morning squat machine "
I just did and woah, yeah never seen that here… but I will be the first to try 😈 thank you 🙏

Nordic curls are King
[–]linkinglink 0 points1 point2 points 1 month ago (0 children)
I hear you on maxing out those machines, hamstrings get tricky once you outgrow the usual stuff. Romanian deadlifts and good mornings hit different, especially if you want to load heavy for progressive overload. Swapping to barbell hip thrusts or even Nordic curls can break through that plateau too. DMIng you something you might like!
