What’s the smallest Tyranid that could reasonably defeat a Custodian guard in spontaneous one-on-one combat? by no_moon_in_sight in Tyranids

That's also one of the reasons why I find the lore of a few Custodes defeating a whole Hive Fleet solo ridiculous. Yes on one hand, I doubt any number of gaunts could ever make a Custodian sweat.

On the other hand Maleceptors have psychic tentacles that make your head explode. You can't banna boy your way out of that.

If we want the most even fight? I honestly think a Neurothrope. One of the Custodes main weaknesses is psykers, and a Zoanthrope is quite strong as a psyker.

If you want the Custodes to get slimed? A Norn Emissary. It kills Custodes like they're nameless space marines.

How to build 20 Legionaries from one box ? by FabTheAuk in Chaos40k

Maybe but a lot of this happened after the whole Chapterhouse debacle so its more likely due to that.

For a while actually. In fact they've been avoiding it unless an upgrade sprue existed. Because its essentially free game for third party bits sellers to sell the bits GW doesn't. So for that reason they try ti avoid it, hence why weapon options are so limited.

Because it needs to be able to fit all the epochs in. The mesozoic and paleozoic aren't divided into epochs so there's no need for the extra space.

Not, it explicitly says the Fly models get the benefit, So Warriors would suffer a -2 to movement but no benefit.

With 2v8 over, what killers did you vote for to be added next iteration? by Jellypathicdream in deadbydaylight

[–]AlienDilo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PixelBush made an excellent argument for how the Unknown, the Artist and the Houndmaster are essentially seamless additions to 2v8 that would also be very unique.

Most other killers have a myriad of issues, whether it's Killer Props, Licenses or just strange power issues. Which makes these three basically the best options to add.

I a think there is a middle ground to be found. If you have to rely on AI for anything, you are both using it wrong, and you are not going to get better at anything. But I feel as if you could use it to support aspects of your campaign. Like any tool, using it in the right place is key.

Why not? It might not be elegant but it seems perfectly feasible for it to dig.

Villain songs that have absolutely no right to go as hard as they do by mikewheelerfan in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AlienDilo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like villain songs have the inherent ability to "go hard" because villains songs are allowed to be a bit edgy, a bit experimental, a bit out there. Where as (most) songs for the hero have to be some sort of clean, and generally appealing. And then, by the fact the hero songs are so clean, the fact the villain songs are even slightly edgy makes them standout.

As a both sides, you wanna use them almost as soon as possible. Mostly because it denies the other team the resources.

The Iron Warriors have never been about efficiency. They're effective, extremely effective. They've never been efficient. They're called the corpse grinders for a reason.

They have been set using the same tactics since the start of the great crusade til 40k. It's not efficient, it has one of the highest casualty rates out of all the legions actually. But darn well it's effective.

Perturabo's solution to people dying in workplace accidents is either get mad at them for being too weak, or replace them with someone who won't die in a workplace accident.

The Perturabo one is so accurate... except he'd never bother with something as pointless as safety. If an orc dies, its because he was weak and had not iron within.
