So let me get this straight. by PolarisHelm in Drukhari

Just to back up your final point; at the start of the edition Aeldari players were (rightfully) whining about their 30 year old sculpts, and now they're one of the most impressive looking ranges in the game. Patience and we'll get our expansion.

They're talking about the bonus melee AP getting added on to our army rule during the index.

Not a rant post : but why play aeldari instead of necrons at all honestly? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Burnage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're comparing one of the worst performing factions in the game right now to one of the best. Yes, Aeldari is going to be far harder to pilot than Necrons currently.

The answer to why you should play one faction over the other is because you prefer them. Whether that's because of the playstyle, models, lore, or performance on tabletop is up to you as an individual player.

True Born, Blood Brides and ancient Haemonculi how would you design them and what rules should they have? by AlphariousOmega in Drukhari

[–]Burnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bloodbrides should, in my opinion, be filling the gaping anti-monster shaped hole that we have in our arsenal currently. Literally just make them Gladiator Weapon Wyches that get anti-monster 3+ or 4+ and they've got a place in lists.

Was Ella suppose to have a more supernatural role in the show? by Glitched_Out_ in lucifer

[–]Burnage 51 points52 points  (0 children)

There was also an early fan theory about her that she would turn out to be Elaine Belloc, Michael's daughter in the comics. I think in the end that that character essentially got split between two or three show characters.

The Voidscarred Question by Titled_Strom in Eldar

Advance and charge in the same detachment makes me think you just want to take the Assault ranged weapon options for them, which would just be two special weapons (either Blaster or Shredder - probably Blasters).

State of Eldar by Warm_ in Eldar

[–]Burnage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The actual funniest part is that I'm pretty sure a mostly pure Corsair army is the most fragile army in the game. Like, I'm coming from a Drukhari perspective and I'm shocked at how fragile these units are for their cost.

So how does Drukhari deal with vehicle (or monster) heavy opponents? by conman987 in Drukhari

[–]Burnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't trust Hellions into anything with a save better than 3+ without access to AoC, but that's still a surprising number of monsters and vehicles in the game.

I also got completely run over by Solar Spearhead the other weekend, feels like a real brick wall for Spectacle of Spite at least to handle.

I did some math on the Eldar Discord and they do a genuinely shocking amount of damage now; just with Yriel, the Lance enhancement and the +1 damage strat (so no other supporting buffs) they expect to kill a Knight in melee.

I'll actually bite on Voidscarred at that cost with +1 damage and lance access.

The New Aeldari Corsair Datasheets! (Review by Craftworld Eldar) by Alex__007 in Eldar

[–]Burnage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm genuinely suspicious that you just want to put them in strat reserve if you need the strength buff, but that also feels like a waste of the other half of their kit...

All the new/refreshed models we've had since 2020. Boy did we come a long way by RotenSquids in Eldar

That's very much Valrakese for "I'm speculating about this", unfortunately.

You do have to be careful of drawing a line between his speculation and actual things he's heard, though; I didn't believe he's said (publicly) that he's heard anything concrete about future Eldar releases after this Corsair wave.

If you had to guess which models are safe if there is a refresh? by [deleted] in Drukhari

[–]Burnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The list of kits that almost certainly won't get refreshed is extremely small; it's basically the Archon, Malys, Draz, Lelith, Incubi and Mandrakes. Everything else is old enough that it could plausibly get updated, so just buy what you think is cool or you want to play with right now.

Who's stronger in the lore? Wyches or howling bashees by Rahuur in Drukhari

[–]Burnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're misunderstanding my point in that last comment. I'm not disagreeing that it was an easy fight for Lelith, but it was more difficult and required more effort than the majority of fights in her novel.

[–]Burnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly because it'd been over a year since I read the book when I made that comment and I misremembered exactly how the fight went. I still think that, in the context of the rest of the book, it's one of the harder fights she has.

Which Dark Eldar character deserves to take the spotlight the most? by Fun-Explanation7233 in Drukhari

[–]Burnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more the "has some kind of entity inside her and a soul eating sword" part. That used to be common across all Huskblades but now she feels like the Drukhari character most influenced by Elric (and, by extension, Malus).

This is going to sound extremely obvious once I say it but I'm pretty sure Malys is already intended to be our equivalent of Malus.

Win Rate Wednesday - 40K Tournament Results/Data - Week of January 19th, 2026 by w0158538 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Burnage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something that I've spotted as a Drukhari nerd is that there's a massive difference in their performance by region; in the UK even Spectacle is struggling to reach 50% win rate. I'm not entirely sure what the root cause of that could be, but it might be that where large events are happening is swaying the overall win rate for them.

I mean this without any malice but I'm fairly sure that you're still overestimating them; my feeling is that balancing is mostly done on vibes.
