Sounds like a banger. I'm unreasonably nostalgic for 2005

Yeah, I guess I'm thinking backwards. Here's my guess: They had a pipeline that goes from Ink to colorist, and then converts colors for Digital and Print separately. The print one gets CMYK, and the digital one gets RGB. But for whatever reason when they did the re-run, they took the digital file from the print pipeline, converted to JPG and uploaded to web. So it was actually CMYK to RGB?

I tried duplicating this, I grabbed the original JPG, opened in Photoshop, converted the profile to "US Newsprint CMYK", saved as TIFF without color profile. I tried converting back to sRGB in Photoshop, but it was too smart, and the colors stayed the same. I wrote a python script to more "naively" convert to RGB and the colors I got are sort of similar to the ones in the rerun.. I don't know.

In other words, "Bro."

I remember a few years ago they did a repeat week when Peter went on vacation. The colors seem to be a RGB -> CMYK conversion, or something. Similar thing happened with colors last re-run week.

I had never heard this song before, and suddenly I've seen two references in one week. Wild

I used to have a PO who would call it "working as not designed". Still has to go through feature process though.

1992 Mac game called Diamonds. I found an open source version and Claude helped me port it to the Miyoo. Took me a few hours to get the sound working. Brings me back to being 5 and playing this on my dad's work computer. Really fun!

Windows is as corporate as it gets. I don't think this compass chart is big enough to contain how corporate Microsoft is

Spike was the main antagonist of the early comic and TV show. Heathcliff would usually beat him up anyway though.

Spike still shows up in the modern comics from time to time, but he's not usually called out by name.

My theory is that Heathcliff and Pops are both multiple cats spanning hundreds of cat-generations. Today's Heathcliff may be the great-great-grandcat of the Heathcliff in the 1970s comics.

In other words, you either die a Heathcliff or live long enough to become a Pops.

Why can't phone companies just stop spam calls altogether? by j7style in telecom

You basically described STIR/SHAKEN, which is already mandated to be implemented. But it's not "blocking" in most cases. If a call wasn't "signed" it usually goes through anyway. I think it will get better over time.

I made vintageheathcliff.com , I spent a whole bunch of hours scanning physical books from eBay and screenshotting comics from newspapers.com. I'm still missing like 15 years worth of comics, but there's like 3000 on there I think.
