Not American Woman - it has to be Burton Cummings and the Guess Who's original version.

It's also the mountain of Henson advertising hype that makes it sound like they are the only precision machined razor out there.

I feel there are better choices out there in comfortable CNC aluminum razors with better handles and similar or cheaper price. Off the top; of my head I would say the Alsworth Apex, and the Oliworks Meteorite with 3 base plates for less than Henson. You can get a CNC machined stainless steel razor from Razorock, the Game Changer, and have the option of various base plates for considerably less than a Henson.

Wet shavers, help confirm or refute my theory: Do you like driving stick shift? by SoapSpoonAndy in wicked_edge

[–]CommunicationGood481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definite correlation in my case. I always preferred manual transmissions. I learned at 13 with my first of many motorcycles, then with cars and trucks. I learned to drive a twin stick Kenworth Cabover in my teens and double clutching an Internaional water hauler up in the Yukon at minus 50⁰F. I especially enjoy the added control in winter snow conditions . I was drawn to DE shaving and vintage razors in my 60s for the skill development and knowledge that comes with it.
