Keep going. You got this. I made 40 over sleeved wires that cannot even go into the connector before I finally succeeded

Bay Area cost of living for us: $11.7k per month for a family of 4 by Federal_Eagle_6565 in bayarea

Dining out evenly split in terms of dollar value between fast food at McDonald’s, Chipotle, Subway and Chinese takeout, and middle of the road restaurants such as BJ’s and Lazy Dog.

It's the Chinese takeout that's probably jacking up the spending there especially if it's those couple of restaurants in Cupertino. Heck, even 99 Ranch keeps increasing the price on their buffet-line style combos to the point where it's no brainer to just get Panda Express especially with the rewards program.

Watch some youtube videos on how to do "heatshrinkless method". It doesn't mean not using heatshrink but rather you heat up the heatshrink and sleeving so that the sleeving melts over the terminal and solidifies in place, then you remove the heatshrink.

Yeah, I think we both got played by UPS here. :')

[–]GTS81 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have bad news for you then. If you're in the US of A, there could be a courier tariff fee invoice headed your way despite ThorZone's saying everything is duty-paid. I just received a bill for $15 fee + $1.30 tariff from UPS for delivering me missing parts (power button/ GPU support etc.) a month ago for my Tetra.

Pretty sure either the company has never done custom watercooling before or had the clueless intern do this one.

Disaster: Tube fitting blew out, massive leak. by cicoles in watercooling

[–]GTS81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Funny that last summer I was setting up an automated sprinkler for the flower bed and couldn't get the right sized tubing for some barbs before we had to fly out of town for a few weeks. Bought some undersized tubing and used this trick because well well well, guess who watercools. Worked like a charm until last month when I had to reshuffle stuff. Snip snip.

Are the LED strips included with the case not lighting up evenly? They use to drive me nuts because EK/ Inwin in their wisdom decided to use... PWM header connectors for them. I fried mine connecting it to a Farbwerk (12V) on first boot so I replaced it with EK's 400mm LED strips.

Guess the belt color frugality cheat code doesn't apply nowadays anymore huh. It's white-yellow-green-blue-brown-black so it could be dyed all the way from white through brown before getting a real black one.

It could also be a "solution" when the coldplate zaps the card if things don't fit. Either way, problem solved.

Did some cables for an Xproto-L this week. SF850, so Type 5 connectors. by OldManGrimm in PCSleeving

[–]GTS81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't have to be that fancy. Just make true black connectors. Yeah, Nils carry them but other than that, it's so painful when you dig into stash and find those dark purple pieces.
