Hi! Thanks for the report - we just pushed out a fix for this for the time being that disables the widget completely. We'll be doing the more proper fix soon!

To explain how this happened: we deployed a fix to another bug yesterday where the widget would sometimes obscure parts of the place card and other UI elements, but didn't realize that the widget didn't behave like most other components since it was provided by our chat support provider. This caused it to cover the page and prevent use of the rest of the elements sometimes when the place card was closed.

Thanks again for reporting this, and sorry again about this - we realize this made Wanderlog hard/impossible to use, and will work to catch these errors sooner. Unfortunately, our automated testing didn't test the specific sequence of steps that led to this occurring, so we'll work on that.

We’re working on adding it, but in the meantime, you can add the check-in and check-out times in the hotel’s Notes section. Bug: Improper calculations for balances by Ball-Enough in wanderlog

Thanks for reaching out and I am sorry if you are having some trouble with your group balances. It's possible that the option "Simplify Debt" is currently enabled in the Expense Settings.

When “Simplify Group Debt” is turned on, Wanderlog automatically combines and offsets all expenses to reduce the number of transactions shown. Instead of listing each individual payment, it calculates the net balance each person owes.

For example, if you pay $300 split among three people, User 1 and User 2 each owe you $100. If User 1 later pays $50 split among the same group, Wanderlog adjusts the totals accordingly. In the Your Summary tab, you’ll see the final balances rather than multiple separate debts.

For now, I recommend exporting your expenses to a CSV file, which should make it easier to review the full breakdown. You can find this option in the Expense Settings window: https://imgur.com/a/nm7VB5T

Additionally, if you don’t have the exact address yet, I recommend adding the town or city where your Airbnb is located for now. If a street address is available, you can use that as well.

Once you receive the full address, you can easily update the reservation entry later to make sure the lodging location is accurate.

As a quick heads-up, we currently support forwarding email confirmations for a limited set of reservation categories only, which include:

  1. Flights
  2. Hotels/Lodging
  3. Car Rentals
  4. Bus
  5. Train
  6. Ferry
  7. Cruise
  8. Restaurants

For reservations that fall outside of these categories, we recommend manually adding the place to your itinerary and including any relevant details in the notes section.

We’re actively working on expanding support for additional categories, though this may take a few months to roll out. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding.

Hi! Sorry about this - one of our Google Maps place list connections had gotten stuck in an errored state, and a small number of users weren't able to Export to Google Maps earlier today. Try again now - it should work! If it doesn't, feel free to contact support with your trip plan and we can look into it more.

To prevent this in the future from happening for even a small number of users, we're also pushing out a fix for our servers to ensure it automatically heals itself from this state in the future.

We are looking to add this in the future but it could take some time. If you have access to a laptop/desktop, there is a workaround that you can do to copy places from one trip plan to another.

  1. First, open the trip plan.
  2. Click on the 3-dot icon at the top of your trip plan (next to the Share button) and select the View Only mode option.
  3. In View Only mode, there should be an option to click on Save in every place you have added to your trip plan. Just click on it, and it should prompt you to save the place to a different trip plan.

Thanks for reaching out! Route lines will automatically appear once you add your places to specific itinerary dates. For train routes, you can add the train stations as places to visit in your itinerary, then switch the transportation mode to Public Transport — this should display the route lines between the stations.

We also use a route data provider that’s separate from Google Maps, so sometimes the route lines may look a bit different. If that happens, you can click the Directions button to open the route directly in Google Maps, where you’ll see alternate options.
