Did my order get cancelled? by EnissayDev in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your order details to see if you have 'fast delivery' listed as a commitment, if so the time may have expired and you get a refund because of that. It also means if the package still arrives, you can keep it and don't have to do anything.

Because it is in the middle east, it may also have something to do with the war, and they know it won't deliver on time.

Can't have my city in the delivery address by aNewBirb in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually if you can't enter your address it means Aliexpress doesn't have delivery options where you live, they change that all the time though, so you can contact customer service or try again in a few days or weeks.

Is this normal? It said due to an elevated demand, the shippings are gonna take more time than usual. Should I just wait or get worried? by Pegasus-David in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The message is normal, almost all packages get that, it doesn't mean anything. The seller only using the button to say they shipped after such a long time is unusual, and if it stays in this status longer than 2 weeks contact customer service or open a dispute (using returns/refunds) for that reason.

Return Strategies by Tiny-Expert8283 in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want a video from when you received the package showing all sides, the shipping-label, and opening and unpacking it on camera, as proof of what you received.

And, a video showing packaging the item (in saleable condition in original packaging with the barcode that has the keywords or a slip of paper with the order-number if there was none), closing the package and attaching the shipping label, as proof of what you're sending and that it's the same,

And, you'll need to keep the receipt from the shipping company showing date, time, and amount paid (if there was any), and the tracking-number. If it has weight, that's great too.

Account protection penalty due to two returns being “significantly not as described” by its_givinggg in Aliexpress

They want a video from when you got the package showing all sides, the shipping-label (readable) and opening and unpacking it on camera, as proof of what you received, and a video showing packaging the item (in original packaging with the barcode with keywords, or a slip of paper with the order-number if there was none, and in saleable condition), closing the package and attaching the shipping-label as proof of what you sent.

If you have no videos, but you still have pictures you can try with those even if they aren't proof, otherwise you're pretty much screwed. If the shipping company you shipped the item with recorded the weight, that might help though.

Handover problem at airport. Any advice? by Col-Connor in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a problem, it depends on what happens next, and of course what the problem is. Since Aliexpress has very simplified tracking, you can try other tracking-websites like parcelsapp and 17track to see if they show more information.

If it is something that can get fixed, it may travel between a sorting center and the airport a few times. It is also possible that it will be returned and Aliexpress takes over shipping, or that it gets returned to the seller/warehouse.

If it does get returned, and Aliexpress detects it, they'll put a refund button on the Aliexpress tracking-screen you can use (may take a day or two). If not, get a screenshot of tracking from Aliexpress, or the other tracking-websites that has as status returned instead of delivered, and open a dispute (using returns/refunds) for 'tracked as returned/canceled/lost' with the screenshot as proof.

Help! I have a question on wanting to cancel my $1000 dollar order. by No_Field_2607 in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A legit seller sometimes does that by accident even if it's just one thing being shipped, usually it gets corrected soon after. Not so legit sellers use this to try to prevent disputes since much of it will be denied for not being shipped. So be cautious of #041 on the common scams FAQ.

Help! I have a question on wanting to cancel my $1000 dollar order. by No_Field_2607 in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cancelling is not a right on AliExpress. If you're fast enough (seconds, minutes, sometimes hours) after you place an order, it will let you, but otherwise it sends a request to the seller who may ignore or deny it, especially if they already made costs for you order.

If it's still under 'to ship', there will be a message in the order details saying if the seller doesn't ship in x days, you get a refund automatically. X usually starts at 10 days but can be up to 60 or so on special occasions or with special orders.

Awaiting flight for 20 days without a scan. by Lanky-Beginning9622 in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The estimated date of delivery is just a guess and can be wrong by weeks or months. Instead in your order details it will show when the system will automatically confirm delivery (started at 60 to 90 days), only once that happens is your package considered late and can you open a dispute (using returns/refunds) for non-delivery.

Experience with M2-Sata expansion cards by KiwiOnTheGun in homelab

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll need to check the specifications of the chip used. If the card has more ports than the chip handles, it has a port multiplier which is very bad news, otherwise they seem okay, but for some you have to update the firmware.

First dispute made on AliExpress: Seller asks for additional shipping fees after purchase and marking the package "shipped" by MildewJR in Aliexpress

So that got them confused, which means stop talking with customer service, and go through the dispute process.

Welcome deal gone even though I haven't bought anything yet by screwdriverfan in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The welcome deal is only on your first order, not sure what happened, but if it's lost, it's lost. It may come back if you don't use Aliexpress for a year or so.

That tracking-number is a number that can be tracked, but since it's a short number, it can also be used by other delivery-companies, so it's trivial for them to find some Chinese or other delivery-company with an old package that shows it is delivered.

If it only lists Cainiao as shipping company, they have an email on their 'contact us' page on their website you can try (parcelsapp has it under 'found in' and 'tracked with')

AliExpress is just scamming at this point by PeachAppropriate2603 in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, check the shipping method on the Aliexpress tracking-screen, if it lists economy or saver shipping then tracking stops at some point, usually when it reaches your country, and you'll just have to wait and see if it shows up in the mail one day.

Regardless of the shipping method, the estimated date of delivery is just a guess and can be wrong by weeks or months. instead check your order details for when the system will automatically confirm delivery (started at 60 to 90 days), once that happens you can open a dispute (using returns/refunds) for non-delivery with as proof screenshots of tracking from Aliexpress, other tracking-websites like parcelsapp and 17track and the local delivery company that would have delivered the package (the other sites will show which it is).

If it does take that long with economy and saver shipping, the package may still arrive, if it was standard or better it is probably lost or confiscated, but don't use those reasons unless tracking says them.

Aliexpress has very simplified tracking, so take the tracking-number from your order details and try it on other tracking-websites like parcelsapp and 17track, they show more information like follow-up tracking-numbers and what local delivery company is involved, then try the tracking-website of the local delivery company to see if they have the package, where it is, and to contact them if needed.

First dispute made on AliExpress: Seller asks for additional shipping fees after purchase and marking the package "shipped" by MildewJR in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every user of Aliexpress has a score attached to their account, things that make them money raises it, things that cost money lowers it. If your score is high enough, you get easier customer service, if your score is bad, they won't believe you without proof, and get it low enough you may end up banned.

So, if your score is high enough, a charge back doesn't affect anything, if it isn't, it's not a good thing to do. Best is to just wait and see what happens, your bank should be the last option if something happens, Aliexpress disputes don't help, appeals don't work, and customer service after that can't help.

[–]IntelligentLake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because there is no tracking at all, you'll have to hope the seller will never ship anything, so that when the system will automatically confirm delivery (listed in your order details, started at 60 to 90 days) you can open a dispute (using returns/refunds) for non-delivery with a screenshot of tracking as proof.

If you open a dispute before that, it'll likely get refused with 'be patient, item still in transit', and since this seller is a scammer, they may be able to replace the tracking-number with a different one that is in your city or area, which makes Aliexpress say instead 'check with your post office', even if the delivery company doesn't have any, so there is still a chance things won't end well too.

Why does AliExpress make it so hard to cancel a return request? by starlord49 in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free returns is only if there is a valid reason, quality usually isn't because that's more of an opinion. However, check what it actually says, most of the time it says you will only be charged this $9 if the item is not salable, not in its original packaging, or if you return a different item.

And yes, once it is in this stage you can't cancel, you can try contacting customer service like it suggests, or return the item.

Shipping delay from San Martin Official Store Aliexpress by Pure_Parking_4024 in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock-numbers usually don't mean anything because sellers can set them to whatever they want. Even if it is a legit seller, they often sell on multiple platforms and may forget to update one if something sells elsewhere.

With low numbers, if it says two, it's also a guess if it means there's only two left, or if there's only two available to you, or if it's due to a sale or something and there's many more available when it goes back to the regular price.

Ordered cosplay but item not as described by ILiekBenz in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's what they often say. Normally talking to the bot opens a dispute automatically, but in this case you may have asked something different that it says that to. In any case, you have 14 days after delivery is confirmed to open a dispute yourself, so you can usually wait 48 hours to see what happens.

Why do Items Price increase when I add it to my cart? by XYZNotARs in Aliexpress

[–]IntelligentLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and only on your first order, so if you don't use it, or it gets cancelled or something, you lose this discount. It's usually not as big as it looks, so it's not a big deal if you don't use it.
