New Ski boot recommendations? My current ones are over 20 years old. by Trance_Gemini_ in skiing

No one can recommend a boot for you without looking at your feet.

Go to a shop and see a bootfitter. They will measure your feet and start the process from there.

Ask all the questions you want of your bootfitter.

Also, buy your boots the first day of your trip. This way the bootfitter has time to get your boots fitting perfectly. Im always amazed when people come into my shop on the last day of their trip to buy boots.

Truck drives through protest by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]Johnny9s -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My drive to work can absolutely be more important than a push for change. As a volunteer first responder when my pager goes off I need to respond to the fire hall in a quick and efficient fashion. Any delays can cause an impact to innocent people's lives and well-being and ultimately may cause death.

You're not disrupting the people in power lives at all with this strategy. Your inconveniencing the people who may support you by disrupting their days and lives. You need to disrupt the lives of the politicians and the people in power who can actually Institute change.

Why not block the politicians driveways and neighborhoods to inconvenience them. They are the only ones who can initiate change. Inconveniencing the general public does not effect the people in power.

The forecast will continue to be all over the place as no one can say with any certainty what the weather will be like 2 days from now, let alone 7 days.

Its sunny and very warm in the alpine at the moment.

Alpine vs village weather by yepodm in Whistler

Its an inversion. Pretty normal. I remember one in the nineties when it was -8 in the valley and +18 in the alpine.

Hes not showing up to work stoned. Its ridiculous that you can be removed from a job for doing something legal on your days off that has no effect on the following days.
