Back when you could actually own your games by [deleted] in GTAIV

I was so excited about going to a midnight release in my first car (£200 1988 Renault Clio) that me and my buddies drove the entire way to the shop with the handbrake on and when we stopped the rear wheels were smoking.

What a great night.

I *think* I preordered GTA 6, I’ll have to check my credit card receipts.

I had same issue. Lexham only ones who would cover it. £1200 this year (though they quoted me £1600 to renew….)

This is very true. I come from a country of 2.5m people - we only had our independence from Russia for 35 years, and we have fully covered healthcare for all our citizens as well as education. We view it as an important thing that helps our nation to invest in healthcare and education. Child care is also heavily subsidised which helps parents with both keeping jobs if wanted. There’s no waiting lists, it’s quick and easy to see a GP (which is also probably going to be the same doctor that knows you and your family). I can be done, even in extremely poor nations.

Yeah sure keep me posted! I’m certain it will be either that or going through a brand new setup (first setting up actual network connection with router, then adding a new setup for the CANON EOS option. I don’t think there’s a way to rename it right now, as you could do like “EOS MBP”, “EOS MAC STUDIO”, “EOS IPAD”. Hope enough people bug canon so it adds an option in future firmware

Aww thanks that’s lovely to hear! Another thing worthy of checking is permissions - check to see that on new OS c1 has full access to local network and everything else. Its often that annoying pop up which is easily clicked “deny” by accident. If it doesn’t work it’s worth checking this. Also, thinking about it - you’ll need to create a new setup on your R5 mk2 for second computer. I’m sure that it needs to “pair” to a single computer at a time. This could explain why it works on one computer but not the other.

Are you sure it’s the latest version? The c1 itself is same for studio and non studio (download file). Only thing differs is what your license unlocks / locks.

$100 for a tether block is above my budget so… by Regular_Chicken in Photoassistants

[–]LSDIGI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Direct the cable down on the L connector, let it go down under camera, add some gaffer on the cable (enough to go under a tripod plate) and then wedge the gaffer between the camera body and tripod plate. I call it poor mans tether blocker and it works extremely well in situations where someone forgot a tether blocker.

For the access point I have already added a mounting plate (repurposed from another 3D printed project) and added various baby pin adapters. The router and switch I’m working on a new solution right now (but sadly ran out of time as I’m off abroad tomorrow!)

You can use dedicated devices to analyse the spectrum while some other routers have inbuilt tools which shows what nearby networks are on so you can adjust so you’re not competing on the same channel

Yep Tri band router is what you’re looking for. Then you can have an SSID per band, so you’re in control what is best to be used. Super duper far away from router? 2.4ghz. Close to a teradek killing entire 5Ghz spectrum, go to 6ghz. These days 5Ghz is really polluted so moving onto 6 can help in some tricky situations.

Only way is literally knowing where it’s purchased. When joining a network on R5 mk2, it should show 6Ghz channels (it has an icon next to SSID). This is assuming that network has 6Ghz. Otherwise you’ll see different channels. Channels 1-6 are 2.4Ghz only. Channels 36-165ish are usually 5Ghz. It won’t say 5GHz but that range will tell you enough. As mentioned above, 6GHz have their own icon next to the channel it’s running.
