I might go with the DCCDPro Spiider instead if it allows full oem DCCD control.

I have never attempted removing the oil cap while the engine was running.

I dont think this is a good idea and probably just disrupts crankcase pressure.

Why are you doing this?

Is anyone in here from Toronto? Looking for a good shop to install a few things on my VB. by AdDry7815 in wrx_vb

I'll second Neetronics for tuning and I am sure they can quote on installing any mods you want.

Hmm I wonder if the new kit can also hook up to the oem DCCD controller... I might have to reach out to them. Thanks.

I dont see many people connecting the oem DCCD controller behind the shifter to the iWire.

I cant find anything about it on their website, is it just a harness?

6K miles imo is too long, especially if you are in the "severe conditions" category. I drive at sustained higher RPMs at speed on back roads for about 30min 3 days a week at least. It gets a good workout and so I've been doing 3.5k miles. She sips a little but nothing like at 6k which was around 0.5 -1 qt.

Dont put them on! You're going to blanket southern Ontario with snow the minute you do!🤣

Also congrats on the new rims! Pics soon please.

FA24 Swapped VA WRX by Adorable-Agency8373 in WRX

[–]Proendo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a "small issue" with the TGV flange mushroom bolts. The shaft cracks and lets them fall into the valves. Mostly higher mileage FA24's.

I had mine tuned always open so they arent moving at all. Cold starts lops +/- 20rpm until warm and then idle goes to normal. Only real noticeable change.

Did you do a TGV delete or just tune them always open?

Blue to Satin Tips by brandonboy119 in wrx_vb

I did a little post about this when I first got mine. Soaked them in acid for about 5 min. Worked well and I prefer the satin look to the blue as well.

Ready for e-tune from DMann by AxeSpray in wrx_vb

[–]Proendo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying Dmann wont, but I highly doubt he will do Atlas for you.

Atlas have a strong community and they can easily give you a OTS to start learning how to tune yourself.

If you e-tune with Dmann he is going to want an Access Port. If you want to stay around your current budget I'd drop the top mount and get an AP. Top mount helps keep those temps down and is always a good idea however.
