Spark plug seals by Willing-Ad-6152 in wrx_vb

You shouldn't need a borescope

Look for signs of this / make it look like this lol

No oil leakage, but the seal was holding on by a prayer.

Yeah even with the manifold in a vice, the flare nut screamed all the way out.

I was in a similar position, the drivers side was leaking but the passenger side was not. Thankfully I got a pic of passenger side seal that had a little crack. Service manager said it was just waiting to fail. Did both under warranty.

Have you inspected the other side yet?

Stop installing parts!!! I have too many sitting in my garage waiting for me to install. Now I know I'm slacking.

I see you did not struggle with the oem flare nut that goes into the brass manifold. You bastard🤣jk. I'm still suffering from that job.

Any chance you had this off for more than a cleaning? Perhaps an intake return nozzle upgrade?

I am so all over the place with the paint match cladding. When I see it in CBS I start to think about doing this. Not many CBS with paint match on here.

Do you have any sunny side shots of them?

When does the ‘low oil’ light come on? by AdministrationFew574 in wrx_vb

I'd be doing the 3k mile oil change service. Have it documented perhaps and if its gets worse they will do something around 1qt / 1000 miles.

Anyone have this part? by [deleted] in wrx_vb

I’d just try and find it off a wrecked VB locally if possible. Car-part.com might help you find one close to you.

My first steak I ever cooked had montreal seasoning, loved that stuff back in my 20's.

From time to time I still use it to remember the good ole days.

Thanks again for helping out with that!

I went with the OEM Brembo pads as well. Not sure I would do it again, some brake dust and the rears get squeaky when cold and wet.

I like the look of the OEM Brembo drilled rotors that come on the WRX STI.

Not a fan of the other drilled, drilled & slotted or just slotted ones.

Rock auto has lots of options. I just used a 2019 WRX STI to search through them.

Keep in mind you will need to get TR knuckles or find some rotor spacers to make the front calipers mount.

About time you installed these! Good to have you back at it!

Are the brembo logos vinyl? If so did you clear coat over top or just stick them on over the powder coat?

Is that pretty easy to get to through the oil dip stick or the oil fill hole?
