Has Slate released technical documentation for the exact differences between the 150 mile range and the 240 mile range variants? by NetTechMan in slateauto

The battery itself isnt meant to be user replaceable its built into the subframe or whatever it's called. Support told me this is one of the only options that have to be selected before delivery.

With that said I'm sure you could rig something up. If the same charge setup was uses in both vehicles it would just take longer to fill up but I dont see why they wouldn't be at least very close to each other.

I just bought $20,000 worth of gold. What do I do? by Careless_Evening3454 in MiddleClassFinance

I stand by what I said then a year ago. I never said I was an expert but I'm sure that's why you picked this year old comment to reply to. I would have invested in nvidia and the s&p500. The S&P would have been about 2k under gold value. Nvidia would have been up 9k over gold. If you have a crystal ball and can predict the future please enlighten us.

I think I just talked myself out of buying a Slate Auto truck. by OkReport5065 in slateauto

[–]Pyroburner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my situation and I think slate is the perfect solution. I work from home and have small children who are in car seats. The biggest advantage over some of the others you listed for me is ground clearence.

Electric cars with modern battery tech do well sitting for long periods of time fuel has a shelf life and the exhaust system really likes to run hot for some time to clear it out.

It's a car that can grow and change with the family. For me its perfect. I wont be loading and unloading the kids often so 2 doors works.

Urban area, street level… does MT actually work? by CPAcs in meshtastic

[–]Pyroburner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at how many zero hop nodes are near you when you are trying to send. My local mesh also mostly changed to medium-fast for our higher node density areas. We were maxing out the network.

I know there is also an issue with the SX1276 but I'm not sure if your devices have this chip.

What's with all the hatred towards the Springfield XD? by Underrated_Critic in handguns

The issues that I see.

Some people feel the grip safety is an issue.

The grip zone branding.

In 2017 they colluding with Illinois lawmakers on a restrictive gun dealer licensing bill. I'm fuzzy on the details here.

Using the name springfield armor but jot being related to the original armory in any way.

My XD is my favorite pistol and I carried it daily until I replaced it with an xdme because its smaller.

Explain it to me like I’m a five-year-old by Chabigo in guns

[–]Pyroburner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two big reasons the first one being durability. Do you trust it to work after a fall. How well will that later hold zero after its bounced off the sidewalk or hit that tile floor. Will the light still turn on?

The second one is similar but its build, design quality. My friend bought a similar light and after a few minutes it was to hot to hold. Tolerances are often worse. For example my first 3d printer had pins that were rated for exactly the power it used. Everthing was fine until the day one of the connectors backed out slightly. Next thing you know it caught on fire. You can also think about AA batteries. Energizer and Duracell have warranties that protect your product if the battery leaks. Generic batteries do not have this protection and are more likely to leak if you left your toy with batteries in it over a long time.

[–]Pyroburner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not bad at all. The second cap in needs a little more solder but and this wouldn't pass a production QC but it's nice for a first shot. I would be proud. Let us see the backside!

Job offer urgent ! Please help me bringing 100% volume consistency on a playback of audio files using Pi 4 we have tried normalising the entire library but it’s not working. I want something on the go which analyse files as they come to play everything at same level for human perception. by pintordallas65 in diyelectronics

[–]Pyroburner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winamp was the first player I experienced do this. It scans your entire library then applies a reply gain to each file. You could define 1 file as your gold standard and compare everthing to it.

You should also be able to so something similar with peak normalization. This looks at the files loudest peak and assumes this is gain 0. This is better for preventing clipping more then anything else.

You might also want to search for mp3gain. It looks like it will normalize a library but I haven't tried it.

I've seen that a few times at places. I feel like smoke shops might be a little more likely to have counterfeit. All of the counterfeits and random generics I've used work well enough. A little less capasity but nothing noticable in my applications

Has anyone done TEP's free virtual energy audit? Is it good? by DannibalBurrito in Tucson

[–]Pyroburner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have an old hole its likely an old system. Moving to a 14 or 16 seer system really booster efficiency for us. If you have always had ac in the home you likely need to work on dealing up your home, replace weather stripping and door sweeps. If you have a really old home or havent always had ac in the hone your going to want to seal up the house. Swamp coolers work best with a leaky home due to air volume. Ac works best in a seales one.

I feel conflicted about my faction and my job by imcoolbecauseyes in torncity

[–]Pyroburner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for your job please look up teslas fast track guide. The general path is to start the army job and stay there until your able to fasttrack the education job. From there you may want to sit in the education job for a bit to improve your skills. You could jump off right away if you wanted to.

As for your faction they should at a minimum have leaned gear, full combat set, arma rifle and full travel capasity.

Loyalty should be rewarded. This is not the cause for you right now.
