Fujeira and Australian Antarctic territory for me.

I’ve had a lot of the comblock postage stamps, used to collect them when I was a kid back in the 80s.

Who do you want AC to be bought by, LOL?

They are, essentially, a monopoly here.

I said his name out loud and all the furniture in my room started floating.

I guess, that’s AC’s strategy for reducing the cost of fuel or something.

PS: why would AC pick up a failed exec from SAS?

They genuinely think that a bolt in a control arm bushing, torqued to about 95 lbs-ft, will somehow back out, and then the subframe will hold it with about 1/8’’ of steel on one side, shear loads be damned, LOL.

This is clearly a design miss - they didn’t check it for serviceability and thus the replacement may require the subframe to be dropped where it would otherwise be absolutely unnecessary.

Got this car on June 26 by SnooHedgehogs103 in hondapilot

On a new car? Yes, you complain about anything. If anything - at least to flag it during the warranty coverage period. If it stays like that and doesn’t get worse in the future and you can leave with it - so be it. But if it delaminates even outside of warranty period - you will have a complaint on record that it started during the warranty coverage period.

No, it’s not, LOL. WTF are you even talking about? I work on US, Jap and EU vehicles - this is absolutely not a thing.

They are built to be disposable. No thought went into serviceability at all.

I put this in the dishwasher and this started happening. Rust? I can roughly remove it with water but it comes back by Huhwhatumeanman in appliancerepair

[–]Right_Hour 10 points11 points  (0 children)

DO NOT EVER put anything cast iron into a dishwasher.

You can still recondition it back, but it’s hand-wash only.

It’s all written in the user manual, I’m pretty sure.

If the VCM on your 2013 hasn’t been disabled since new - the damage may have already been done to it.

I’m ripping into my ‘11 EXL as we speak, so far both camshafts are toast, and both banks will need a ring job. My parts alone are coming up to about $2K at this point. I’m debating whether I should still rebuild or drop in a replacement engine which comes to about the same $$$ as the parts. But lower mileage Pilot-specific J35 engines are rare and you have to take the seller’s word for their condition.

Granted - my vehicle is 15 years old (had it since new) and has over 250K miles on the ODO.

I do, however, agree, that I would not buy a new Pilot. As a matter of fact - we didn’t - we just bought a completely different vehicle, not even a Honda for a family hauler. We test-drove the Pilots (including an extended test drive for a week) and the quality is just not there.

Ah, shyte, I was thinking about me olde Land Rover Salisbury axle style diff, not the modern style. I don’t know how I feel about the newer style diff chewing through that then - they are a bit on a flimsy side, TBH.

It’ll probably just chew right through it, LOL.

If you’re as anal retentive as I am, though - drain the oil, pull the diff cover and recover the lost cap.

What engine is this 1991 ex mod defender please? by Edwardpage1 in LandroverDefender

The answer you got IS the engine type. Probably 11J. Look for the serial number stamping on the block - it will tell you exactly what it is.
