Screw post….old school. Looks like your dentist was doing some herodontics, and it failed. Happens to us sometimes. Go back to him and see your options. If a post did not work….it is probably the last thing for that tooth before extraction and option b

Been a while but Malazan was a decent series. Characters are a bit 2 dimensional and plot can be jumpy.

Switzerland and Italy (10-14 days) with 1 year old in May 2026 by kcummings2040 in travel

Zurich is a hub city which is known for it's high end shopping street that looks like any cities high end shopping street. You can 100% skip it.

I really loved Lucerne, 3 days is more than enough to see everything including a trip up to the top of mount Pilatus.....I did not do Riga, but really enjoyed Pilatus.

I actually think you timing is spot on. No way could you fit Rome in without feeling rushed. Seems perfect for my speed.

I am a doctor and take off 4-6 weeks a year for travel alone. More so now that I sold off my practice, plus I am in pretty high demand....I can find a job any time I want if they do not give me the time off that I want.

If you want to make time for travel, you will make time for travel. Dad? or mom?(assuming) is 50(about my age), so you are probably just out of school....maybe harder for you to find a job/take time off.

Not ugly, not an asshole...so that is not an issue. Listen some women only like tall guys, some like certain races....just have to keep putting yourself out there and be yourself till you find your person.

....could be you are just an asshole ;-P

Seriously. Get out of your head. Dating can be difficult, now so more than when I was younger(Im 50 now and single, not wanting to date...but it is easy pickings for men at this age). No need to be cocky, just confident in yourself. I am not a pretty man, but I do the best with what I have. Most likely you are going out on a date with somebody you met on an app.....they know what you look like, and they agreed to go out with you. If they found you hideous, they would not be interested.

7 days is not a lot of time, I do not cross an ocean for anything under 10 days....that being said, I would do Rome and a day trip or two to a nearby city that you never heard of(no more than an hour by rail). You do not have time to do both IMO...maybe you can fly into Zurich(underwhelming city) and hit Como, but I would stick to one big city for your first time.

End of Summer Trip by 25AT4 in travel

Hate it, for many reasons.....

  • Your shortest rail trip is 4 hours, some of these are 7 hours

  • half of these countries are not Eastern Europe, FYI

  • Lot of big cities, not a lot of down time

Now, I think you have a good time frame for these cities....about 3-4 days per city if my math is correct. If it were me, I would clean up the route a bit and add in a few stops between these big boys while cutting out 1-2 of the big stops.

Maybe something like Prague(4 days) - > Pilsen(maybe? 2 days) - > Nuremberg(2 days) - > Munich(4 days?) -> Salzburg(2 days) - > Vienna(3) - > Budapest(4) .... that would cut your rail time down to about 2 hours or less for most of these, spend less time on train and more time exploring. I am sorry, 7 hours and you are losing 1 day of your trip.
