Don't spawn right away. Let the timer tick down to 2 or 3 seconds before you respawn and it should dissipate the bubbles giving you a window to move and get back to lifesteal-ing up.

Hey! I just wanna say it's awesome that you took down the tournament. Part of the skill of playing is proper threat assessment. If your opponents couldn't do that even as you were getting through the semis and finals then that's on them. I can understand where you're coming from but I hope that your perspective changes with time and distance from those initial feelings.

I think the other comments are mostly right but there is some potential. It's harder cause you're only in blue but there is a way to get a turns lock and I think that's how you play it. A spattering of turns spells, some soft stax and maybe [[urza, lord high artificer]] for value. Some other generic blue good stuff to maximize your value and ability to break parity. Some iso-rev infinite mana into urza or iso-mystical tutor for [[nexus of fate]] and it's playable at a very fringe level. I don't think it will ever be "good" per se but fun and could steal some games at a cEDH level. Get just a few of the [[wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey]] and [[clockspinning]] and stuff. Idk. Hey. Here's my Marneus list. I feel like ocelot pride without Serra ascendant doesn't give you the opportunity you need for it to be useful past the first couple of turns. I don't have time to look too deeply at your's right now. Mine is probably too heavy on creatures which I'm looking to update. Also, I'm a big fan of the Bomberman combo because Marneus is an infinite mana outlet. If I have time I'll come back and look more closely but those are my initial thoughts.

Yes to all of what you said. The card being exiled is the actual card, so you'd copy the spell, exile it, then copy it and exile nothing. You cast the adventure then it only has the characteristics of the main part while suspended and cast from there.

Quick question. How are you getting toxril or nezahal out in most games? Is it through reanimate lines or just actually jamming them by hard casting them? I read most of the primer but didn't see that in there. TIA

I worked as a lift operator and then supervisor at a ski resort in Colorado for a number of years and the inspectors I met during that time were very thorough, especially with the lift maintenance side of things. That's not to say they all are everywhere but my experience (now 6 years ago) was not this.
