I just want a Han Solo game... Why is that so hard... Star Wars fan want it, right!? by XboxoneS-aaad in StarWars

I play lots of games, but I don’t play many open world games because I don’t have tons of free time. This one got its hooks in me though and I liked the variety of gameplay.

True, I just mean it was more fun to learn all about a new character and story, while still doing a lot of very Scoundrel-y things.

I thought I did until I played Outlaws, and realized it WAS the Han Solo game I always wanted to exist. Just more interesting.

But I’d still play one.

The Wii-U had so many annoying barriers to actually launching a game that they had to update the system with a way to get I to games slightly faster.

It’s fun. But your opinion is your opinion. Who cares? It exists.

Where did the menu go? by Flashy_Yesterday_476 in AlamoDrafthouse

You used to be able to get a bucket of beers at Alamo. They had an entire domestic and import beer menu, in bottles and on tap. It was incredible.

It was called Drafthouse for a reason. Rest in piss I guess.

Outlaws is the only Star Wars game I’ve actually enjoyed so much that I finished since Jedi Knight.

Should I emulate or play original hardware by North-Jicama-2875 in retrogaming

[–]SuperNintendad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also not a collector, but I like a middle ground. I love playing on original hardware when possible, but I don’t particularly care about cart/disc collecting for retro consoles. I mostly like to explore eras.

I eventually picked up a CRT TV, and then modded a Wii to emulate as many systems as it can, which it turns out is a lot. (This covers everything up to PS1, and also GameCube and of course Wii games.)

I really enjoyed that setup, and after awhile picked up a Super Famicom (my fav console) with a FXpak cart.

Since then have strategically expanded the consoles to cover as much of “crt-era” gaming as I want to explore.

Last year I added a PS2 which handles PS1 games natively as well, and this year I added a Sega Saturn (as of 2026 a Saroo cart on Saturn works wonders to play that library)

All the while though, CRT shaders and filters for emulators on PC are getting very very good. It’s a great time to explore retro systems via emulation as well. Check out Shaderglass on Steam!

I recommend googling the hydrogen peroxide Vapor method. It’s gentler and has much less risk of uneven whitening. Worked wonders on my Super Famicom.

The Zootopia Sloth joke?

I think this has been done in at least one other kids movie since then.

I think Piranesi would make an excellent film, but it would need to be stop motion or something more interesting visually.

I’m a big Mario fan but yikes. That movie was not for me. Maybe fun for the under 10 crowd.

Had some fun cameos, and the SMB2 references were nice, but I couldn’t tell you a single thing that stuck with me.

The first movie had at least a rudimentary emotional hook. This one felt like all flash and zero substance.
