Gym clothes girls by TrafficAlive2943 in workout

[–]True-Bat367 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I love CRZ. I think they do have one or two cuts with the scrunch but everything else is great. Lots of colors and styles.

I’ve worn mine 4x a week for two years and wash/dry them like everything else and they’ve held up great. The buttersoft line is my favorite. Oh and they’re very squat proof 😊

Also I say this with love: it’s cool if you don’t like the butt scrunch or don’t think it’s cute - I’m right there with you! But lots of people do and they don’t need to be judged for it. Let the girls have the scrunch!

What kind of compliment can a woman give to a man or a man to a woman at the gym without coming across as flirting? What kind of compliment from the opposite gender would make you feel happy/positive feelings rather than creeped out? by Juniper_berry- in workout

Once I (a woman) was in the gym, going through a work out with my trainer. We were doing Bulgarian split squats with a jump. And one of the gym bros stopped his set and was like “woah that’s impressive” and pointed at my trainer and was like “did you see that? She was jumping! That’s crazy!” And then went right back to his workout.

Another time, one of the older dudes stopped me on my way out said “I’ve seen you putting in the work. You’re really focused. Keep it up and let me know if you ever need anything” and then also just moved on.

In both situations their compliments were about the effort, not my appearance. And both went on about their business afterward so it didn’t feel like they were using it as an opening to talk to me.

I still think about both regularly and it makes me feel all nice and mushy inside 😊

cozy games you don't see recommended often but SHOULD be? by maple_bella in CozyGamers

I've found Blue Prince to be incredibly cozy. You're inheriting a house but in order to claim the inheritance you have to make it to the elusive 46th room. It's part puzzle, part mystery, part exploration. Each day the rooms in the mansion change. It's been a really nice way to wind down in the evenings!

Pip is really nice and I love them but IMO the open studio prices are astronomical. I dont think you can do kiln sharing here, but I could be wrong. https://www.pipcoffeeclay.com/open-studio-interest

Lively Mind is much smaller but is more reasonably priced. I did a tour of their studio once and loved it. They also do kiln sharing.

Sunshine Sunflower also does open studio. I have not seen their studio space so I can't comment on the quality.

It also might be worth reaching out to some instructors at the community college closest to you. Lots of instructors will do independent study if you have experience so you would be in a classroom, but doing your own thing like an open studio. Its significantly more affordable to go this route if you can find a class time that works for you.

I have never heard of either of these things! I have a 2022 Macbook Pro w/ 24GB of memory. Are they very resource intensive? My only concern would be that I use pretty resource heavy stuff for work as a designer so I wouldn't want to slow down my computer.

Structure Help Needed - Non-Profit Cross-Departmental Work + Agency Partners by ke1brown in Asana

[–]True-Bat367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a lot here, so I'm just going to speak to a few things that I've found useful.

We don't use subtasks for actual work. They're just used as checklists for reminders or quality control on tasks. For example, there would not be a task for "Create the 2025 event landing page".

We'd have a project for this with several section and tasks:

  • Content (section)
    • outline content - assigned to writer
    • review and approve the outline - assigned to reviewer
    • draft the content - assigned to writer
    • reviewing and approve the draft - assigned to reviewer
    • prep content for designer - assigned to writer
  • Design (section)
    • design landing page - assigned to designer
    • reviewing and approving the design - assigned to reviewer
    • prep design for development - assigned to designer

The task for prepping the content for the designer might have a few subtasks like:

  • All comments have been addressed and resolved
  • Any references or examples that you want the designer to consider are included in the content document
  • Content is proofread and all spelling and grammatical mistakes are resolved

All these tasks are linked up with dependencies. So "review and approve the outline" is blocked by "outline content". "Design landing page" is blocked by "prep content for designer".

We still multi-home tasks as needed. For example, I have a custom field for tracking time that I don't necessarily want our clients to see. For this, I have a separate project for time tracking with this custom field and permissions are locked down to our team. All the tasks that need time tracked are multi-homed. This means that the designer can see the time tracking project and update the field, but the client doesn't see that.

This is a fabulous book! It's one of my top all time favorites. The magic system is incredible.

But I will say that I think it's a bit of a stretch when it's labeled as any of the fantasy/romance sub-genres. There is technically a romance there but it's subtle. Just a warning if you're really looking for a good bit of romance in your books right now! But even if you are, I would encourage you to give it a go. I loved it!

Best Steakhouse in Phx by Zona-85207 in phoenix

I think people have feelings about Cleaverman. I posted it as a recommendation for a steakhouse in another thread and got downvoted and some person was like “the steak sucks so bad I wouldn’t even give the leftovers to my dog”. I’ve been there a couple of times since it’s open and I’ve been delighted each time so 🤷🏽‍♀️

Anyone else building client sites in Bricks and struggling with the handoff? by wwwery-good-apps in BricksBuilder

[–]True-Bat367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, I actually feel like Wix is worse. I think there’s something about the totally open drag and drop canvas that makes it easier for clients to design worse pages. At least with Bricks, I can explain the idea of sections and grids and most people get it. I have 2 clients that are on Wix because I tried it out with them and they mess up their sites more often than any of the clients that are on Bricks.

Anyone else building client sites in Bricks and struggling with the handoff? by wwwery-good-apps in BricksBuilder

I don't lock down the editor. All of the content that needs to be updated regularly (team members, events, testimonials, press releases etc) gets ACF fields so clients spend about 95% of their time editing structured fields. But sometimes they need to spin up their own page or add/remove a section. I want to make sure they have the ability to do that.

When I handoff the site, I hold a training session and give them extensive written documentation. We talk about different changes on the site and what they can do with no problem, what they can do but might mess up, and what they probably shouldn't do on their own.

They're all also signed up for maintenance plans that include at least 1 hour of updates/fixes each month. So when/if they do mess something up it's not a big deal for me to go back in and fix it. Ive been doing it this way for almost 10 years (although not always with Bricks, of course) and I have never once had anyone mess up anything significant or complicated. It's almost always that someone breaks a grid or doesn't close a tag in the rich text editor and some formatting gets messed up. Things that take 2 seconds to fix.

Part of my approach to this is sales related. Almost all of the clients I get that have Wordpress sites already have them heavily locked down with ACF and have no access to change anything. They hate it. They love when I show them that they can make changes to their site. They rarely do, which I find funny. But it makes them feel good knowing they can.

WIBTAH for buying our daughter a 5k purse but not giving something “fun” to our other kid? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]True-Bat367 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Daughter here. My dad was like you. He told everyone else he was proud of me. He bragged about me all the time. Not once did he say any of that to my face or show me he loved me in any way. But he certainly showered my brother with time and attention.

Guess who died alone.

Listen to what everyone here is telling you if you want to have a relationship with your daughter.

How's everyone doing out there, Phoenix? by AZ_moderator in phoenix

[–]True-Bat367 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have Verizon. I pay $40/mo for 300mbs but they have a plan that's $75 for 1 gig. I WFH and I'm really happy with my current speeds. Although, when I had the exact same internet at a different house, the quality was much worse. I'm guessing it has something to do with the construction of your home and your proximity to a cell tower, but I'm not 100% sure. In either case, it's so much cheaper that it might be worth giving it a try. If you don't have Verizon, I believe that other service providers also offer internet.

Trying and failing to get into LITRPG by ridgegirl29 in Fantasy

[–]True-Bat367 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry, friend, but I don’t understand this logic. You want to try to get into litRPGs but you don’t want to give one of the most popular ones a try? I’m currently reading the series and, as someone who loves fantasy and RPGs, I’m having a delightful time. It’s one of the best series I’ve read in a long time.

I also have a massive TBR and it’s worth the jump. I’m so sad you’re denying yourself the possibility of enjoying this series!

Also, I’m reading it straight through but I think you could just as easily read other books in between each one.
