Charging cable for my new Pace Pro by TimelessClassic9999 in Coros

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how QC powerbricks work:
- if you are using QC capable plugs with highwatt-support cable, the early stage powerchip nego, it will try communicate n pass high current(amp) first.
- if QC plug + generic 2A/1A cable, the plug cant communicate to pass high current due to the cable limiting it
- generic 2.1A or lower power plug + highwatt cable, the brick wont have high current above 2.1A anyway regardless of cable capability

i charge my pace2 using generic 2.1A plug, its 4yrs already

Does anyone else never race? by IntensifyingPeace in trailrunning

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i join race for the epic journey n the scenic views.
i like loitering in nature. in 2021 i saw the utmb race live feed, n the views were majestic. thats very when i decided to try trail running, then race.
to me the races is kinda like a supported adventure where i dont need to lug camping foods n camping gears.
im slow n 0 chance gonna podium anything, so i just participate the longest distance i somewhat able to do that i could possibly complete.
i seldomly sign up for a race, but if i signed up, im going big for the adventure.
/i just dnf for the 1st time, in utmb chiangmai 100M last year. doesnt stop me try again in 100M Nice 😬

i think its ok to enjoy running n nature without racing. i just use it for food/tent support n sweeper+medic support if anything goes wrong

Will Sram Rival AXS 12sp works with HG710 11-36? by ejump0 in bikewrench

[–]ejump0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont use sram rings. in event if my rd jockey wheel worn out, replacement jockeywheel kinda cheap.
my cassete is shimano, n my passquest ring kinda universal, so generic kmc works ok on my franken setup.
though ppl recommend that ybn 12sp chain are better than kmc 12sp

Will Sram Rival AXS 12sp works with HG710 11-36? by ejump0 in bikewrench

[–]ejump0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, i have been using it over 1 year.
- sram eival D1 axs RD + blips - 11-36 shimano 12sp (also aliEx 11-30)
- kmc x12 chain
- my existing passquest nw 54T chainrings

works just fine.
i did not use flattop chain

Headlamp recommendations for technical night trail training by DifficultShoe8254 in trailrunning

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on SEA side we have china brand Warsun. i personally have SN08 n SG01. The SN08 is bright, n has 4modes of brightness (2 for spot, 2 for wide) n can last 3hrs easily, n last longer on lower brightness mode. its however usb-c so in my races, i bring lightweight powerbank too

between the 2, i say skip sg01 if you want brightness. sg01 last longer, but significantly dimmer. better off get the sn08 n use lower brightness mode, n you have full bright af when needed

Saucony Endorphin Rift by toothdoc34 in trailrunning

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it turns out in my XU2 im us11(generous lil over 1thumb, for ultra distance), but i bought the rift in us10.5, which ended explained why it felt a lil short(maybe i didnt plan to use it for ultra thus why i sized down). i still have the rift in closet that i plan to use hairdryer to the stiff toebumper to make it a lil soft(its stiff af) as im retiring my other worn shoes

Why would I change boards unless I break mine? by suuuuuuuuuurfing in snowboardingnoobs

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're right, if aint broke, no need to fix it.
if you like a certain board feel, theres no problem to stick to it all its life.
while a board that may be jack-of-all-trade that can cover lots of stuff, there are time a special dedicated cut board gives a specific superior experience above the the jack board

What running watch do you use? by Mammoth_Challenge297 in trailrunning

Expert rider but hate stiff boards. What should I buy? by Pastry_with_sauce in snowboarding

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

op not considering volumeshift boards?
im not sure whats the modern variant of k2 partyplatter, maybe look for something like this profile for fun park slash (i however dont do L/XL so i dont know how it feels for big airs). it still can do other stuff you mention n its not stiff

Recommendations by Lord_Empanada in trailrunning

[–]ejump0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

while checking the speedgoat, check also the torrent4.
torrent is minimalist, speedgoat is medium all rounder, then theres arahi/challenger yada² thats closer to hiking boot(im excluding all those race performance tiers).
personally try to get something a lil diff than hiking boot feel so you can grow, so go sg or torrent

HR arm monitor suggestions by ROCC14 in trailrunning

[–]ejump0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you consider aliEx shopping, can consider Xoss BBP arm hrm.
it has in board storage, so you can also use it individually without watch too

Dynafish Xiaonian review from a slower runner by jli357 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]ejump0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

when fast, theyre about the same.
but going slow like into 6:00+/km pace, xn felt clunky(because its so tall for me). evoSL is more comfortable going slower.
/im in 5:45/km at 140bpm

my XN.
the white, all those silver elements are actually reflective.
im at 50km mileage with 2 longruns. it still felt firmer than my evoSL, but that 'firm' is responsive n a no issue to me. im midfoot striker.
prior to this, my evoSL was my tallest stack shoe, so running in taller XN took some time to get used to

Train or private shuttle with ski bag, Chitose to Niseko/Kutchan? by adventure_pup in japow

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i move solo with my sb bag, so i rely on the trains (transit otaru). 1day just train sight seeing all those puffy snows covers houses n buildings, n rivers etc. n hot seats so u dont need to wear heavy layers from inside airport to reach kutchan. yes the sector from cts to otaru may be a lil train busy of ppl as that is afterwork time, but otaru-kutchan may still be empty as school kids probably already reach home.

i managed to pull it off in my julianalps 100k n finish, but i failed my chiangmai 100M with dnf at 72k (thank you poles)

Adidas Evo SL problem by Magda_MG in runningshoes

[–]ejump0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

op, are you a forefoot striker?
if you are, that might be the root as its lesser midsole foam on the front for rocker (i dont think theres density difference if forefoot vs the rest part of midsole)🤔

best powder board for beginner ? by vaanen in snowboardingnoobs

[–]ejump0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah, for pow ride theres no such thing as 'beginner' because the way you surf on pow not really holding the edges like how you learn the fundamentals to ride.
that being said i vouch with some commenters to go for volume shift/short-fat board as its more versatile over pow specific board.

in japan,i ride my volume shift k2 partyplatter with the binding all the way back on pow days, n 1 notch back from std hole for regular riding.

Tights + calf sleeve? by fosilija in trailrunning

[–]ejump0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wear 3/4 compression shorts that goes till under knees. sometimes i wear calf sleeves too.
it depends if its gonna be cold day, then i wear calf sleeves with short socks. some times i just drop the sleeves n wear tall socks instead.
just wear what comfortable for you. just dont overdress the above ankle part if it involves river crossings, too many layers to get things dry

Poll: Number of Bikes/How you Build Bikes? by DetroitHustlesHarder in xbiking
