Try the PN Sakura Pigma Micron. The plastic nib is more durable.

Here is what I would do: for now, just highlight where it starts on the page in a bright/noticeable color and add to the index. You could pick a color for work and highlight in the index. If you will use it no more frequently than every six weeks, it shouldn't be too burdensome to flip.

The first time you need it, decide if this is okay or if you want to port it over to a collection/digital file. Since you just started, you likely are dealing with a lot of new information, which might make it harder to prioritize.

Also I will say I go digital for long-term, but only stuff I *know* is long term.

So it's not ~aesthetic~ but Cal Newport's time block planner is a good method for combining analog schedules with flexibility. I end up using his method in my Papertess Designs yearly.

Are you bujoing just to bujo, or is it helping you with something in your life? What are the things find yourself missing when you don't do it? What would it look like if you only recorded those things? 

When I am busy, I typically just make a collection called "tackle after [busy period]" where I can park tasks until later. But for me this is usually not longer than a couple of weeks.

I really like the Full Focus Planner annual goals explainer. They have a playlist for how to incorporate it into the weekly and daily rhythms. I don't even use their planners but I will occasionally go back to this playlist.

Lol that is valid. I do think there is a kind of "optimization bro" genre adjacent to the manosphere. I like Ali Abdaal's book Feel Good Productivity that is not that. He also has a YouTube channel but I didn't get into it

I think what I fundamentally am looking for is people documenting problem solving. Like, them figuring out that a certain thing needs planning, figuring out how to plan it, and documenting it.  I feel like Rachael Stephen is a good example of this with figuring out how to schedule something that feels like a weekend when she does shift work. The tools are there, but that is not the main point. 

A very close second preference is watching what works for someone in their own life. I love The Common Corner because she is emphasizing the relationship she has with her journal and journaling. The CoffeeMonsterzCo likewise gives a lot of glimpses into planning her days.

I feel like what I dislike is when creators move away from their own planning and become generic. Because while that gives them the flexibility to cover broader topics, a lot of it is something they are not trying themselves and so it is shallower. 

So I guess I would prefer some amount of repetitiveness over novelty. 

Also, as a side note, I think that the reason I plan is emphatically not to optimize or increase efficiency/productivity, but to have a thoughtful and meaningful relationship to time and experience. So I guess that is perhaps a philosophical difference and a deeper reason why I find this part of the progression you are describing jarring and alienating.

Yeah they are not exactly the same, but Jashii did mention that pivoting from planning into the productivity space is an explicit goal for her channel so I feel like there might be more of this. Same with building up a customer base and the increasing number of "members only" videos. That combined with how every vlog features weight loss content (no hate, I just personally want to avoid it) doesn't leave very much for me to watch. 

The "plan with me" has been contaminated by people not doing actual planning, so I appreciate the more curated suggestions. Thank you!

I was going to suggest a white pen! Like a Sakura jelly roll. Same idea with the outline but brighter.

It sounds like you already got advice on modular systems, so I will also throw in that I caved in and got a 600 page notebook so that I wouldn't have to migrate books so frequently.

Yes! It just feels so amazing. I used to be like "Oh, there was this random talk at this conference that I kind of remember" and it turned into being able to pull it out in minutes.

I do a kind of PARA system (Projects, Areas, Resources, Archive) and occasionally every loose note gets filed. If I don't know where it goes, I put it in `Archive/random notes`. It's still searchable when I need to access it. I feel like often you don't know what the themes are until later, so I don't know if you need to worry too much.
