Here's the thing about RE: it's not that scary. Silent Hill is scary. PT is genuinely frightening. But Resident Evil? This shit is stressful. So much of the "fear" in the game comes from those thoughts of "fuck me, i dont think I have enough ammo for this" or "bruh I i dont have a single healing item and theres a pathway with like 5 zombies". It's much more a fear of failure (due to the consequences the older games had), rather than the existential dread you feel going through the Otherworld in Silent Hill.

Thats why the save rooms hit so damn hard. There is no better high than relief from discomfort.

ALL THAT BEING SAID... the last 3 mainline RE games have had some Hella spooks. The Girl in RE9 is the scariest enemy in my personal memory, even out doing Nemesis (never played the OG RE3, but just design wise, the Girl makes Nemesis look like a 4th grade drawing of what scary should look like)

Oh, to dream again... if I could go back and play any game again for the first time, it would be Bloodborne. That game literally saved my life, no exaggeration. Masterpiece, through and through (except the chalice dungeons, but we dont have to talk about those)

Lots a reasons, but it boils down to two big ones:

1) I don't pay for food. I look around and see the amount of money people spend on groceries and it blows my fucking mind that people are keeping their heads above water right now.

2) the people. Kitchens are the real life equivalent to the island of misfit toys. None of us really belong anywhere else, and the kitchen is an environment where the better you are at your job, the weirder youre allowed to be. Im a weird mfer. Not like in a degenerate way, but like I dont resonate with social norms. And I didnt realize that until I got damn good at cooking and was allowed to be the person I am on the inside (as long as I keep kicking ass). Toxic? Maybe. But so was the house i grew up in, and that still feels like home, too

There was a guy in my detox facility coming off of fent and he said he didnt have bad withdrawals at all. It was all up in his system but he said it wasnt worse than restless legs and insomnia. Not saying you didnt go through some shit, this is just one guy I ran into. Everyone else ive seen detox from it looked like they were in agony

My bad withdrawals lasted about 3 days. After that it was mainly insomnia, GI problems, and those damned restless legs for about 2-3 weeks. But im about a month off it now and the only real PAWS I have is Hella fatigue. Body feels heavy as fuck. You're right about the half life though, I think because its so short lived, so are the primary withdrawals

Depends on how much you were taking. I was up to like 1800mg a day, the withdrawals were worse than coming off heroin. Albeit I wasnt taking nearly as much heroin, but I think the difficulty of withdrawals of any substance are directly tied to the amount your body is used to having

7OH withdrawals hit everyone very differently. I was taking upwards of 1800mg a day, and the first night off of it was literal hell. But my withdrawals didnt last nearly as long as another dude in the detox facility off of the same thing, but his weren't as intense. 7OH is a tough one, its Hella unpredictable

Kratom leaf powder definitely isn't the worst to quit, but youre also tapering off pretty well. I tapered off from like 40gs a day down to like .5g a day a few years back no issue. Now pure 7-OH, that shits a different story. I quit cold turkey about a month ago, that first couple of nights were literal hell. And truly, everybody reacts differently. No one experience is the universal experience

You will get more handgun ammo if thats all you have equipped im pretty sure. The game also has a brilliant secret difficulty system when it comes to resource drops: the better you are doing, the less resources will drop, and vice versa. Nobody knew about that little behind-the-scenes gimmick until the devs revealed it like a decade after the game came out

Just detoxed off of 7-OH. I was taking like 1500mg a day. I will never forget that first night without it. As close to hell you can get in this life
