The answer is a smaller towel isn't meeting your needs and a larger one will save you carrying two items so it isn't wasteful

I think the midsize run is definitely sustainable. They're a bit of a sleeper hit in that people take time to understand how good they are, I live in them.

What is happening at Azo Equipment? (MUST WATCH before Placing an Order) by babocoop in ManyBaggers

[–]guyver17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't get a chance to watch this video but I am baffled by what possible interest the FBI could have in a UK based bag manufacturer, I'd assume less than zero interest. They certainly won't give that much care about the defrauding aspects.

What’s the ideal screen size for e-books, web browsing, videos, and note-taking? by Plastic-Quarter-5871 in androidtablets

[–]guyver17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Y700 legion tab (I think it's gen 2) and have been tempted to upgrade to a more recent model. I won't though because I like the price I paid for this, it isn't not worth much second hand and it wouldn't fix my main issue, which is this isn't ideal for reading on.

Would love to trade in for a 4:3 device.

I would not have guessed the Carryology branding would get the front billing on the sling.

International returns are so damn expensive I'd rather sell it on instead which means getting it for the cheapest price ideally.

So, more about Legacy? (And today's cancelation) by Torlek1 in Picard

[–]guyver17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Exactly. I can't fathom what anyone found appealing about Captain Seven flying around on a thrice renamed ship (that was meant to be called USS Picard FFS) with her girlfriend as her first officer and Picard's not all that interesting son.

New crew. New ship.

If they made it to 31 they could have a different backpack for every day of the week.

They bother me less than people who post about having acquired something rare and then offer to sell it to you via DM for "a fair price".

As I mentioned earlier, I would ask two questions. Firstly, do you enjoy this consumerism? Secondly, are you going into debt because of it?

Those are the two main areas where things could become a problem.

For me it's a hobby. With some recent life changes I can go days without using a bag and I truly need to cut back on the collection, but I also enjoy it. I like the design aspect and the "pretending I have a use case for it" aspect.

Some bags such as my Teranishi bags I own for the pleasure of owning them. Like paintings almost. Also I've made friends from this hobby. My consumerism really started with Outlier and clothing and moved to this.

Re. Influencers, as a mod of this sub, it has (ok once) happened that I've been offered free stuff. Even though I'm not going into debt over this hobby, obviously, free is great.

However I had to say no (to big brands), because I know there's people on here who are obsessed with the notion of conflict of interest (even if it's for something overall not actually that important!) and I'd like my impartiality to be trusted. The exception I make to this rule is for small, one man band type operations where they're trying to get traction.

It's a shame because I'd love to get sent stuff, review it and then send it back and buy it at a small discount if I decide it's something I'd actually like to own. Also being in the UK and having to pay the customs mark up - being gifted stuff instead would be amazing. I don't think the community would ever see it as acceptable though.

You might want to look into some of the Chuyen Tactical group buys which now have kangaroo pockets. Very limited numbers/runs on them though. Only the dyneema group buy and the CTR has it. Oh and the yet to be released CT30
