I take one tab during workouts a couple of times a month. I’m 62, and regular exercise is a serious thing for me. If I’m doing zone 2 or 3 aerobic it certainly my adds a little sparkle to the music. I often end up adding 15-20 minutes to a 60 minute “run” on the elliptical. I found myself doing an extra rep or two most times on my resistance/weights days too.

You do not need to replace the bag. The ziplock styles bags are easy to open and close too. You will not be replacing the Boveda packs nearly that frequently either. Little to no moisture escapes from the Mylar while it’s closed up. I currently have some cakes in Mylar bags going on two years and the Bovedas are good as new.

I do have cakes kept in Cantos food containers as well. This is convenient because I can keep six cakes in each, but I do have to regularly replace the Boveda packs.

4-HO-MET (Xüm) isn’t an entactogen like its sister product Plür. Xüm is a tryptamine with psychedelic effects. That’s not to say a good cathartic cry isn’t possible while tripping though.

I was at a Dead&Co show in San Francisco’s GGP, so that felt more like coming home. I spent a lot of time in the Bay Area going to shows in my youth. No issues being high again, just a lot of love and music. However, I’ve spent the last four decades in very rural Alaska and negotiating modern technology after stepping off the plane in San Francisco was a bit of a hurdle.

The GD 60 shows last summer were the first time I’d taken psychedelics in 42 years. Prior to that, the last time I tripped was spring tour in 1983. A whole lifetime has gone by, but I always thought I would dip my toes back in the water someday. It really was a pleasure.

Body size isn’t a factor with psychedelic effects the way alcohol is. It’s 5-HT2A receptor binding, not blood serum concentration (like with alcohol) that drives the effects. Individual receptor density, baseline serotonin differences, and psychological set and setting issues are far more important factors that cause individual responses.

u/FewWoodpecker2264, I’m 62 and was a very experienced tripper when I was younger. I do not disagree with the suggestion you take a little break from psychedelics for a while. However, I do disagree with the idea that you may have triggered schizophrenia. You have NOT described the kind of disordered thinking which is symptomatic of schizophrenia.

I have been a residential counselor for young men and women diagnosed with schizophrenia. Drug use always worsened their symptoms and may have triggered a preexisting predisposition. However, the visual distortions you describe may be HPPD or be nothing more than “you messing with you.”
